I dont think so. Okc's missing because there's no scorer on that team apart from the two of them, if they had a more efficiemt scorer like say Harden on board they wouldnt miss WB at all. At d end of d day, WB's still shooting way worse than kd but takes more shots than him.

I just LOL at some of the people here, WBs suddenly the most important thunder? Really? Kd jst needs someone else to step up, Ibaka and martin's been big disappointments so far. If Kd had been d one injure we wouldve faced memphis.

Well you said Durant needed a guy to help with defense and facilitating and Martin is not known for either of those.

I agree this is a stupid thread, but the bolded part.... Rockets would have ran out of pgs to throw at WB if he was solo queued.

I'll have to say I think Westbrook would fare better in a system like this. Russell is bar none one of the best penetrators in the league. He gets a lot of flack for being a ball hog but most of it is just bandwagon hatred. Russell is not a bad passer, and his court vision is pretty good.

Not to mention Russell is way more skilled than Durant in all facets of the game minus shooting. He's not the better all around player but I think he'd be the better fit. Imagine Linsanity in New York. Surrounded by jump shooters, it can make any point guard look great.

Of course I don't see Westbrook putting up the numbers Durant is putting up... its a toss up. I almost wish I could have seen Russell play by himself. I don't like the fact that he's constantly berated and overshadowed by Durant at every step. People act like he's a complete scrub and should be deferring to Durant on every single play.
