If you have millions of dollars to burn, why not? Sure, I'd put myself in her shoes, but I don't have that kind of money. SHE DOES.

Maybe something like this (more high profile attention) will lead to a threshold where if you are determined to be X% likely to get cancer and you, through doctors orders, are advised to consider the surgery, that insurance companies would trend towards covering said procedures more than they currently do, assuming they, too, would be better off with pre-emptive treatments such as this, rather than treating the terminally ill later.

I find people who go through chemotherapy courageous, but Swoly-D disagrees. :(

If a Dr. told you to remove your tiny penis because of cancer I would think it courageous of you.

Ive never understood all the hate for Swoly and DD. I mean, maybe they make comments that you dont agree with or comments that might annoy you. But still.

    I dont get it.

It has nothing to do with having opinions. Everyone on here has opinions, and voices them regularly.

It's because a plurality of folks on this board, from a variety of social/political/cultural backgrounds, can find a common bond in the realization that Swoly's opinions are ****ing stupid.

So it's different when a rich person gets cancer and is at risk of dying to a poor(er) person because they have Mealeons (not a fu**in word anyway) and can manage paying for it easier?

I thought death was death no matter how you spelled it.

WTH are you trying to say? It's NOT different, but what I'm saying is that all these people celebrating her "courage" know that if it's any other Jane Doe doing this, they won't give a ****. Of course, since it's boobs they've seen before, they're all "R.I.P. her boobs" and "OMG, she's so courageous." Baloney  .

The 'courageous' thing she's doing is sharing this with the world.

How many regular people that we know would be too ashamed of sharing this with people outside of immediate family members? I would say most.

It's her using her "celebrity status" to educate the world on how to prevent death before something goes beyond repair. Just like another poster stated most of us are being educated here by just reading the discussions back and forth.

Who knows maybe she saves a life by sharing her story simply because she's a polarizing celebrity. You never know.
