    I guess the point of debate is ... when it all goes to ****, and you're in the trenches, fighting for freedom or oil money, who's to say where the line is? There are US soldiers who post tortured images and mock dead enemies on message boards.

    Does the Western media have the right to judge what is allowed and what isn't when it comes to war and sending a message?

    You must be stupid. Locate this "ritual" in the Qur'an or in any of the Hadith of the Muhammad (pbuh).

    Basically what you're saying is that we can attribute what some crusaders did to Jesus, right?

    Christian crusaders burned people alive. I guess that is one of the things Jesus taught, according to your asinine logic.

    There are no rules in War. The fact that people are upset by this, as though there is some sort of mannerly way to go about waging war, is appauling. If these people were in the same situation, they wouldn't be binding themselves by the arbitrary rules of war that the west prescribes to.

    If your family get's wiped out in a drone attack or killed by the govt... you're liable to do a lot of things.. like go crazy or have bloodlust for the ones that did it. People shouldn't try and guess what peoples breaking points are.. everyone's is different. I don't think this guy woke up and decided to eat someones heart.. he was in battle day after day, probably saw all kinds of atrocities to his people/family, then he lost it. The scary part is if Asad goes down.. these are the people that will run the country. It will turn into another Libya, Egypt, etc. A safe haven for terrorists and a not safe place for everyone else.

    There's nothing in islam about eating some dude's heart. How stupid can you get.

    If you want some sort of "Rules of War", here is a tradition narrated from the Prophet: “ I advise you: Do not kill women or children or the aged, cripple or injured persons. Do not cut down fruit bearing trees. Do not destroy inhabited places. Do not kill or confiscate farming animals. Do not burn beehives. Do not steal from the booty and do not be cowardly.”

    You will never find anything about mutilation of bodies.... This is one person acting on his emotions.
