i believe lebron deserves it over iggy... i see deng as more second team but thats me... i def believe gasol should be first and chandler second... i would take cp3 off 1st as well... my 1st team would be tony allen(g) / paul george(g) / lebron(f) / ibaka(f) / gasol(c) i agree with the sentiment that a pg shouldnt be elected to the first team just for the sake of having a pg. i think it should be best 2 gaurds. best 2 forwards. best center.

well, they require voters to name 2 guards, 2 forwards and a center. so LeBron can't be over Iggy, it's more Iggy vs. Bradley, Thabo, Conley, etc. i'd take him over all the guards i can think of right now (besides Tony Allen). and george is treated as a forward this year, and i'd put him at the top of forward list right now. LeBron wanks too much during the regular season on the defensive end, but i'd still probably put him on team 2. Ibaka imo shouldn't be on either team at all, he's maybe a top 10 forward defender but no way top 4. he does have a unique valuable skillset, every team could use shotblocking and jump shooting at PF position. but there are better defenders.

True. But could you list for forwards that wouldn't include wings (which i feel are hybrid guards) like George or Allen? I can think of Deng Lebron maybe zbo and it's slim pickings...
definitely not zbo. i don't really want to name drop because at least one elite defensive forward hasn't been picked yet (he's purely defense and nothing else), so i'll just say that I'd give Ibaka's spot to Deng, so it'd be George/Deng/LeBron/Duncan. re "hybrids" -- since we are talking about all-defense teams, we can't treat people as hybrids. it's either forward, or guard, or center. for example, Iguodala may be a hybrid SG/SF, and he got more votes than Kobe last year, but the NBA gave that spot to Kobe because Kobe is a "guard" and Iggy was considered a "forward". the NBA saw Paul George and Duncan as forwards this year. we may discuss if it's fair or not, but it is how it is. they are competing with Ibaka, and IMO they should be above Ibaka.
