I read elsewhere on the internet that it is the Vega... which turns out to be one of the biggest pieces of crap ever. I actually owned one in 1976-80. The piston rings were harder than the aluminum engine block so it burned oil at about the same rate as it burned gas. So, did Don enjoy his BJ? The look on his face said, "no", but a bucktooth BJ is the best.
I don't see how it could be the Vega. Mad Men is never exact about the historical fiction, but the Camaro is only off by one year or so. '67 instead of '68. The reason it has to be the Camaro is because Roger and Don make a big point about this being an attempt by Chevy to take on the Mustang. As Don said, "From Chevy perspective [regarding the new car], there was nothing before the Mustang and nothing since." That comment doesn't make sense if the Camaro is already out....especially just one year later. Autophiles are taking history too seriously if you look only at the Mad Men "year." Don't eliminate historical events, based on Mad Men's timing of them. The Camaro was built to take on the Mustang. It's the Camaro.
This season has been great so far...the episodes are really catchy...and i always get to the end thinking that there is more and get pissed that the credits roll...Mad Men is one of the best TV Shows on right now...
I thought it was Camaro too based on similar reasoning and trying to guesstimate the year, then we saw the 68 on the C3 plate and I was also already thinking C3. Internet says Vega. Would prefer it be Camaro but apparently the model prototype # given on the show correlates with the Vega's official #. I was also thinking C3 because I figured Chevy was paying the show to create excitement about the oncoming return of the Stingray (C6).

Well, just so I can be right about something, let me say Joan lecturing Don was classic, and extremely well done. I had to watch it twice. Her face changes immediately when she hears he went ego on Jaguar...yet, still waits for her moment to shut him up.
Don's been a total a$$hole this season. Alcoholic dad, cheating husband, backstabbing neighbor, selfish boss and that comment to Joan about "300lbs off of you."
Loved the look on Peggy's face. Just when she thought she was free Don comes sneaking into her life again. Copy writer again!
I know, it was perfectly played on her part. She'd been finding her own footing this whole season and now it's like she's back at square one.
Yeah I think this is more the reason for the look on her face. She certainly may be bumped down a notch since Don is there but not necessarily.
I thought Draper was playing a gag with the whole "aww, shucks man, this business is rigged, gosh darnit, fooey" routine - trying to hide his hand since he previously talked about not believing in fate.

Hotel stuff got stranger and stranger as it went along, Draper pushed it too far and got left again. Interesting to see where this season ends.
When Sylvia called Don after the verbal fight with her husband, I figured Don knew she had fallen in love with him. In the beginning recaps, they reiterated Sylvia saying "We can't fall in love." So I thought he intentionally acted that way in order to make her feel as if she was nothing but a sex object and remove the feelings she had for him. I was wrong though. I guess Don really did like her.
Yep, I think he thought he was totally in control of her and the situation. When he lost it and realized he had fallen in love with her, it was a punch to the gut.
I don't understand how he could "fall in love with her". All they did was screw! So either 1) the writers are trying to portray a false sense of love, or 2) the writers themselves have a convoluted view of love.
