Wow. My wife hates sports, truly despises them, and even she would have said "Hakeem" in a heartbeat before I even met her.
Um, Tracy Mcgrady was the Rockets best all time player. I mean honestly he was... Yeah he never won anything or got past the first round but he was the most athletic, diverse, skilled and talented out of everyone in the group. It's not his fault he was injury plagued and didn't have the right squad and could never be healthy with Yao Ming. I get you're point that obviously Hakeem would be the best All time player because he won ring's and was the most dominate player. Although I still think T-Mac was the best player we had regardless of his shortcomings and bad luck. I mean 40 points a game in the playoffs is no scrub player stats. In reality it goes Hakeem > Clyde > T-Mac > Yao > Stevie Crak head Franchise But with all stats and achievvments aside it goes T-Mac > Hakeem > Clyde > Yao > Stevie last but not least franchise. His talent was way over Clyde's and Hakeem. This guy was better then Kobe Bryant at one point and that's when they were in there primes. It's ashame T-Mac never had his Yao Ming center like Kobe had his Shaq center. Everyone needs that other star player to win and decent role players. Even MJ
Haha, I was too. I also think it's funny that the OP was quicker to dismiss McGrady as 'best all time Rocket' than Scola.
We have had great players. Moses was the best, until Hakeem arrived. Hakeem is the all time greatest Rocket player,no if and's or but's about it. He was the only superstar on the 1st Rockets championship.
As far as I know, Mr. Olajuwon is the only player to lead his team in every statistical category through a playoff run. Duncan came close in 2002. You're wife must really dislike sports. My GF is from Canada and she knows Hakeem Olajuwon is the GOAT Rocket.
Please never post again. Hakeem is 10x better than 2nd round virgin. No he never got into the 2nd round while actually playing. Playing on the Spurs as 15th man does not count. Peakwise Hakeem rapes every version of T-Mac even 03 T-Mac who was more of an anomaly if anything due to his defense.
Meant to say Hakeem was way better than 03 T-Mac due to his impact on D. Anyway not even a close argument. Anyone who knows basketball will laugh at your stupid statement. Peakwise for a Rocket T-Mac isn't even top 5. His absolute peak was on Orlando and he never had a season close to as good again.
Nah, I know Hakeem was better and you guys took it out of context I said in realitiy Hakeem > Clyde > T-Mac But, let's say if T-Mac Had yao ming healthy and decent role players and no injuries they might of even won a championship and you guys views would of been a little more biased. Hakeem and T-Mac play diffrent positions so it's hard to say. Hakeem was the best center to live but T-Mac can play 4 diffrent positions kind of like Lebron but smaller. I don't care what you say talent wise T-mac is the overall better player. Obviously in a fantasy draft I am picking Hakeem over T-Mac because Hakeem is huge defensive force with his size and offensive skills compared to most centers. Nonethless T-Mac is still the better player in my eyes. I know you guy's hate him because "You feel betrayed" but I know basketball and I play basketball. Most of you are just fans who watch the game and nothing more which there is nothing wrong with that but T-Mac is still the best all-time athlete we had. I am telling you if it wasen't for the T-Mac curse he would of been a legend and it's funny Rockets fans pride and ego will let them disabond this theory because they feel "Betrayed" The fact of the matter is he was suppose to be a guy who won championships and what not. He was plagued with bad luck and injuries. Yao Ming and T-mac could never play a playoff series together fully healthy.
You are full of s**t and it's not even debatable. Do you realize, dips**t, that Hakeem is in the top 10 all-time in steals? Talk about athletic for a big man. There's no BS curse- T-Mac's team was up 3-1 and they choked against the Pistons. CHOKED. Bad luck my f&&King a&&- TMac and Yao had the opportunity to get past the Jazz and they didn't. TMac never got out of the first f**king round until now. Which basically means never. Hakeem led a team whose 2nd best player was Otis Thorpe- yes, read that again- Otis Thorpe- and led them to a championship. He led a 6th seeded team past the 4 teams with the best record- Jazz, Suns, Spurs, and Magic- all of whom won at least 57 games- are you understanding that, rookie??- and led them to a 2nd championship. Why do you think Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, the two best players of their generation, went to Hakeem for tutoring? Because of his MOVES, his ATHLETICISM, the thing you're bobbing your knob over about T-Mac. Under no universe at all was T-Mac a better player than Olajuwon- Under....no....circumstance. So, please go back to killing animated people in Call of Duty with your Cheetos-stained fingers and save yourself further embarrassment by ceasing to post in this thread.
Seriously the fact that you had to use vial language to express yourself for the love of Hakeem actually shows how immature you are. I still gave Hakeem credit and said my self in a fantasy draft I am picking Hakeem over T-Mac. I am not full of crap. I said T-Mac was one of the most skilled Rockets we had and athletic Rockets we had. I said this all in theory and I still recognized Hakeem as the better player. I am just tired o the disrespect ClutchFans give T-Mac he brought wonderful years onto the franchise and actually was better then Kobe at one point. T-Mac injuries, mental issues and ableness not to be healthy with Yao stopped alot. Btw even when T-Mac played in alot of series he was still injured btw. So, honestly you need to check yourself and your morales to sit here and cuss out somone over there oponion on a theory if T-Mac career in Houston was never plagued with the things I mentioned. Grow up and pioletly critize me instead of looking like some fat loser and cussing me out over who the greatest Rocket is I will gladly play you in basketball sir since you're such a guru in Bball and must know everything. Just grow up man.
Tmac could shutdown Dirk and drop 60. He was more skilled than Hakeem IMO. It's close, but it's Tracy.
