I went up to Oklahoma City once... ate here ... http://www.cattlemensrestaurant.com/ It was aite. Apparently Chales Barkley gives it a thumbs-up (on the page's slideshow), so you know it's legit because I don't think there are any strippers there. Also ate at Leo's BBQ once. They had some good ribs, but I hear it's hit-and-miss. Their sauce was one of the most unique I tried (apple-cider-based if I recall). Not sure what else is there. It was kind of depressing.
Late to the thread, but OKC isn't so bad. Norman is about 25 minutes away and there is tons to do there. Great food places within a short drive from OKC. Bricktown is pretty nice. Not much to see, but there is plenty to do. I spent 4 years in and around OKC and it is kind of like a mini-Houston, IMO.
OKC Memorial is a must do. If you go a little north in Arcadia there is this gas station called Pops that is pretty cool, IMO. They have a huge selection of sodas and a little diner. http://route66.com/ I go every time I visit my mom who lives in Edmond (OKC suburb). Don't go to Teds. Way overrated and crowded.
