I haven't seen one instance of the green light in the trailer. Isn't it the largest symbol in the book?

Saw it too. 7/10. These 3D movies are giving me an excuse to go see movies in theatres, while the theatres charging me $13 for this movie and $9 for Iron Man are giving me an excuse not to see 3D movies.
I liked it, pretty close to the book, but there's going to be THAT group thats going to b**** about it, it's not like Greedo shot first.... Joel Edgerton put on an amazing performance, hope he gets props for it
I want to see it. I'm just not "Star-Trek-Into-Darkness" want-to-see-it. I see Amtabh Bachchan has a part in it. 'Bout time he got a part in an American film, albeit a small one. The guy was God in Indian cinema. Remember the scene from "Slumdog Millionaire" when the boy takes a turd-dive in order to get to see his favorite movie star? Same actor, twenty/thirty some-odd years later (chronologically from that story).
I liked the Gatsby book, I'm not quite sure how well this will translate. My gf wants to see it, so I have a feeling I'll be seeing this (and paying ten dollars for two extra 3d glasses).
It has a significant role in the flick, but people shouldn't expect a rote film version of Gatsby. While I saw the film in 3D and really enjoyed it, one of my best friend's simply hated the whole thing. Just set aside what you remember of the book. Think of the film as more of a visual feast filled (when he appears) with what I thought was some of DiCaprio's best work. Fitzgerald on an acid trip. I can relate.
Great contribution... I actually agree with him. Very emotional song and fit perfectly with what was happening in the film.
