^^ One note to add though. I do think Harden would've made a better 2nd star next to Yao Ming over T-Mac, even ignoring the injury issues. I think Harden's ability to drive would've helped lessened the fronting issues and gotten Yao more involved in the PnR rather than just low post.

Tmac without injures and seeing how he was during his prime here. We haven't even seen Harden peak yet so can't really base it just on this year.

Orlando T-Mac...my good so beautiful, especially 2003.

Statistically, Tmac and Harden were very similar in their first year as a Rocket. Their first playoff series though, Tmac was noticeably better than Harden and more efficient as well. However, Tmac's first playoff series with the Rockets wasn't his first as the no. 1 option.

Tmac was much more skilled in his first year though, but he was two years older as well.

Harden will continue to improve, and I don't doubt that he will have a better career than Tmac overall, barring major injuries.

I noticed that as well. And whenever he would do that, I would scream at the Tv " Harden wtf are doing".
Hey even LBJ doesn't get all the calls.

FG% isn't how you look at efficiency.

Look at TS%(which includes free throws) and eFG%(which doesn't include free throws) and Harden beats McGrady in both.

McGrady and Melo are better scorers than Harden still in my opinion, despite Harden being a lot more efficient than both of them. They can get it in more ways.

The reason why Tracy kept shooting that 20 footer, because the refs wouldnt call the foul when he attack the rim. Them jokers also robbed Yao out of a lot or fouls as well.

    Gotcha.

Now tell me which player had the better TS% in their 1st appearance in the playoffs as a Rocket.

T-Mac was the more versatile player and better due to two way impact. However, Harden will probably surpass him soon. T-Mac wasn't at his peak in Houston.

Yeah, he out played him in the playoffs. You posted season stats though.

McGrady's first season was his best season as a Rocket, but he and most NBA players were never more efficient than Harden, even in McGrady's peak in Orlando he's not nearly as efficient as Harden is. Harden's scoring is just tailor made for efficiency.

Lets not forget the 7'6 guy who McGrady was playing with. Harden hopes on the off chance one of his teammates produces the type of night Yao produced every night. Harden does it alone out there.

T mac and it's not even close. Yet anyway. McGrady had incredible vision. There was a time when McGrady belonged in the same breath as Kobe.

Right now it's hands down Tmac. Harden hasn't truly developed his offensive game yet as a primary scorer. Give him a year or two and I think he'll surpass Tmac. And as many have pointed out, Harden's game is quite inferior to Tmac's but again he's 23.

T-Mac easily, but Harden has yet to hit his peak. I don't think Harden will ever be as offensively gifted as T-Mac even when he does reach the pinnacle of his career, but I also think he'll end up being the more efficient player and certainly the more accomplished in term's of his team's success.

Unless you count 2009 when he sat out most of the season and this year where he's a scrub on the Spurs bench, T-Mac never got past the first round. I seriously doubt Harden will have any difficulty with that in the years to come.

I posted both stats earlier pimpn.

And this TS% shows that Harden is more efficient than Kobe and several other superstar players..So to me its a lil misleading.
