If we do get Howard I would trade Asik and one of our young power forwards for Milsap or maybe even Smith if he would take around 10-11 million per year knowing he could ply with his friend Dwight.

i really think asik improved a ton through out the season....i think a 4 makes more sense...this team has a lot of potential
an Asik-Howard tandem doesn't worry me that much. The Rockets can slightly alter their offensive strategy and vastly improve their D. They would need a solid stretch 4 to rotate off the bench so Asik-Howard start but share no more than 15-20 minutes a game while the stretch 4 off the bench shares the remaining time
News Flash: Omer "Chairman Of The Boards" Asik was the #5 option before the Patterson and Morris trade!!! Why don't use this excuse???

Replying to your own post + putting the same stuff from your post in your sig just to make sure everyone reads again why you think Asik is just as good as D12 or better. You're not going to do much convincing, just demonstrating you can't see the obvious beyond a stat line.
Maybe because I just changed my signature to that and it will go through all my post and change the signature..you tell me whats the obvious cause I went to 34 games this season and seen the rest on TV so you tell me cause I was there??? Problem is nobody appreciates what Omer or what Lin did for this team...prolly half of ya'll never played basketball above middle school but yet critique and make fun of someone short comings. Both of them were first time starters this past season and put up good (Lin) to great (Asik) numbers..You guys cried that we should have kept Dragic but he only avg. 1 pt more and one assist more than Lin this season and he was the leading scorer for the Suns. The Rockets had 3 players for most of the season who avg more than him (Harden, Parsons & Patterson)...This team was either 1 or 2 in scoring for most of the season avg 103.4 pts a game take away Asik and Lin this team would only prolly avg. 80-85 pts a game and would not have made the playoffs and we be picking Zeller or somebody give or take....How did we beat the Lakers the first time here...Oh I remember Hack- A- Howard and he missed most of his free throws...Asik only avg 30 mins a game and still avg. a double double this season and had I think 33 total so you guys do not know what you are talking about..Tell me some more reasons (you prolly going to play the injury card for Howard or he had a sorry coach...or he did not mesh with everyone else blah blah blah) I wish yall can make some excuses for Martin, Lin , T-Mac or Asik...But ya'll gonna open your eyes and wish we did not sign Howard (if we do) cause he is Heartless and plays the game for the wrong reason. So are you saying Dragic would have put up the same #'s as Lin if he was on the Rockets with Harden...? You're honestly saying that Dragic had equal talent on his team as Lin so their numbers are comparable...? I agree to disagree... I agree about not bringing in Howard though.
Last time I checked he (Dragic) turned us down in the off season when Lin was not even at thought but its not Morey fault that the Suns GM put together a sorry team for the fans in Phoenix...ESPN had Lin ranked #13 in position rankings Dragic was ranked #15 this season
I would rather have Asik to be honest. Howard is obviously elite but he brings baggage in the way of his personality. Asik has turned out to be pretty solid and will only get better. I feel like he's earned his starting job with our team. I'd rather improve in another area and keep Asik who is a nice and much more selfless guy than Howard.
On these points I can understand. Those are valid concerns.....but to say Asik is on D12's level is ridiculous. Bleedrockets I understand your devotion to trying to convince people of what you believe, so I'll just agree to disagree, but you do understand you're in a small minority among not just fans who you think know less about basketball than you do, but professional analysts and nba gm's. simply ask, if a GM were to trade either Asik or D12 which player would net more in return? Especially when you consider after asik's contract is up in two years and he gets his next contract.
How can Lin be ranked 13th and Dragic 15th. There's no way! Dragic is heaps better than Lin. ESPN are LOFs!!!
Omer likes the attention on him and [wants] to improve. Seriously expect him to fight for his starting position. He doesnt even need post moves.. Just learn to catch, and he is a 15/15 guy This would also make it easy on the Rox to make their priority on getting CP3 and adding from their on
Dragic took a dip going to the Suns. Lin should not be infront, but they might consider potential and also team position.. Meaning the playmaker starter of said team is in the playoffs.
I think I've posted this in almost every keep Asik over Howard thread. I like Asik as much as anybody but you don't keep someone when someone better is knocking on your doorstep.
