The disparity between the West and East is so huge. It would be interesting what teams like the Warriors and Rockets can do in the East.

Bulls are way better. Thibs is a fantastic coach.

Absolute plan in free agency should be adding Bulls free agents you know they will be developed come restricted free agency. Poison Pill contracts. Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, etc

Add Pacers, Spurs to that list

I don't think on paper that the Bulls are better than the Rockets, especially since we have Harden. But if they played the Rockets with the same intensity and 'nasty' (thank Pop) as with the Heat, they are the better team. .

I think we are slightly better than the Bulls..If we played them in a series I would pick us to win it but it could go either way.

When we played them didn't we embarrass them?

This happens every playoff. The Bulls play the best defense in NBA history, Steph Curry is the MVP, and GS is going to the Finals, Nate Robinson is an all star, etc. Then next round, those teams are gone, and next year, to quote Dennis Green, "They are who we thought they were".

Last time I checked, Rockets are OUT of playoffs and Bulls are still in. Bull are better than at least 22 other teams, including Rockets!

Our season is OVER. Stop opening old wounds and move on to offseason.

    Exactly.

The OP is talking about teams from different conferences, different systems, and wanting to know if we match up with the Heat?

How about we do something relevant first, such as winning our division / getting a higher seed in the playoffs / winning the WCF, before we talk about something so random as being better than a good defensive team in the East.

Eh the east is like the Dleague outside of miami. Only other east team I think could beat us in a series would be Indiana.

Why put down a team that stopped Heat's 27-game win streak? Weren't Rockets one of the 27 casualties?

Last week of regular season, we can't even beat Suns in a series. Moot point on whom we can and can't beat or who is a better team. Our season is over and move on!

Well, the Heat got to a 27 game win streak before that team was able to stop them from extending their 27 game win streak.

This is how we fared against the playoff's teams in the East.

0-2 against the Heat, both games were close (113-110 and 114-108)
0-2 against the Pacers, they beat up on us pretty good in the paint,. (105-95 & 101-91)
    1-1 against the Celtics, (101-89 & 103-91)
1-1 against the Bucks, , Lucky win shot by dang Ellis (115-101 & 110-107)
2-0 against the Bulls, we blew their ash out in the 2nd game, (93-89 & 120-97)
    2-0 against the Hawks, one being a blowout, (109-102 & 123-104)
2-0 against the Knicks, both games we blew them out, (131-103 & 109-96)
    2-0 against the Nets, (119-106 & 106-96)

McHale is very big on defense. Team defense takes time. The Bulls, injured or not, have been playing together longer. This is only the first year for this group of Rockets. Give them time. The future is bright for this team.
