Brewer only has good games against the Rockets. Furthermore, he still has the taint of Jazz about him. No thanks times infinity.

if having him on the roster means not having to play denver with him, then i am all for that. Dude goes off when he sees a rocket jersey.

He launches up too many 3's for someone who sucks at shooting them.

I have a torn rotator cuff yet I probably shoot as well (sic) as he. He can cut and slash, he's got dash, but no, he is not the uh, best shooter.

Here's one to look out for later in FA: The Original Turk, Hedo. Beware.

He's inefficient (50.6 TS%), shoots too much (16 FGA per36), doesn't provide much offensively besides his inefficient scoring, and isn't great on D (6th out of 10 players in Denver's rotation in DRtg).

He wouldn't be a bad fit here, with his ability to run the floor and play solid D, but I don't think he's worth whatever money he's going to get.

    Sounds good,

except he can't his 3 pointers which means he's useless in our offense.

    Yup. Pretty much nailed it.

He gambles a lot on D. Has trouble guarding bigger guys. Not a greater shooter, yet has no conscience. Doesn't do much but shot. Not a huge fan.

Guess who had offensive efficiency similar to Brewer's before Morey signed him? http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/delfica01.html

Ya, but I liked Delfino and I do not like Brewer, so Morey must not sign Brewer!

(I think the Rockets would prefer someone who is little more effective in the half court. Brewer is very good in transition, but if you have to play in the half-court Brewer isn't very valuable at all.
I think this would/should be even more so the case if the Rockets were to add Dwight or Josh Smith.

I also think Delfino was a little bit better defensively (more sound at least) before joining the Rockets and I'm not sure the Rockets would be quite as comfortable with their wings leaking out as early as the Nuggets do, which is one of Brewer's greatest strengths.

We'll see. I may very well be wrong.)

It's weird to me that we even bother speculating on this sort of thing now. Because Morey generally acquires bench guys one of three ways:

    1. Completely unheralded free agents that we'd never see coming. I.E. Delfino.
    2. Trade throw ins. I.E. Toney Douglas, Francisco Garcia.
    3. Undrafted/Unsigned no names. I.E. Greg Smith, Patrick Beverley

General managers around the league have no idea what Morey will do. These people are paid to do this for a living. How in the hell are we going to call it?

I don't follow the draft as closely as I used to either for this very reason. I used to read all the scouting reports and follow the mock drafts and try to predict what the Rockets would do. Now I barely bother. Because I know that I'll never see Aaron Brooks coming. I won't see Carl Landry coming. I won't see Chase Budinger coming. I won't see Chandler Parsons coming.

Morey is going to draft who he is going to draft and, more often than not, the player Morey drafts will be far superior to the player I would draft.

You should give yourself some more credit.

Signed, Marcus Morris & Royce White.

No need for an airhead of a basketball player.

I like Brewer. Over Reddick. Seems like a Rockets kinda player also imo.

Really? I thought the complete opposite. I think Redick would be perfect for us especially as instant offense off the bench.

Brewer reminds me of a poor man's Trevor Ariza. Not good considering Ariza is pretty broke.

I'd rather want Jeff Taylor. He's cheaper and would be a quality role player off the bench for us.

Rather have Kyle Korver(Yeah, I said it!) or Tony Allen.

Other options/consideration: Dahntay Jones, Keith Bogans, Reggie Williams, Marco Belinelli, Anthony Morrow, Matt Barnes, Earl Clark, Marquis Daniels, Mike Dunleavy, Al-Farouq Aminu, Xavier Henry, Ronnie Brewer, Dorrell Wright, Nick Young, Gary Neal(R), Alan Anderson, Linas Kleiza, Randy Foye, Martell Webster
