Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Unless otherwise noted all games are on CSN-H (for about 40% I guess). 5-10 Alexi Ogando, RHP vs. Dallas Keuchel, LHP 7:10 5-11 Yu Darvish, RHP vs. Erik Bedard, LHP 6:10 5-12 Nick Tepesch, RHP vs. Jordan Lyles, RHP 1:10
Game 1: Keuchel may surprise and only give up 3 runs, however Ogando stuff is nasty and I see alot of strikeouts by our team ala the first series vs. him. Prediction: 4-1 Rangers Game 2: Bedard will give up at least 4 runs easy. We may actually score a run against Darvish. I just have a gut feeling. Prediction: 7-2 Rangers Game 3: I actually like our chances. Lyles has been pretty solid in his first 2 outings this year and is locating his pitches real well/has seemed to have gained some more heat on his fastball (up to 94-95mph). Had no idea who Tepesch was and his numbers arent that great. Just don't put in Ambriz when we have the lead and we're good. Seriously hate that guy more than any other pitcher on our staff. He's a choker and never seems to have control of his pitches. He's gotten lucky a few times otherwise his ERA would be alot higher.

I like Dominguez. I hope he gets better offensively because he's one hell of a defensive player. Then again, I was one of Adam Everett's biggest fans. Watching players like that in the field is a joy.
It's gonna take years to overcome the damage that is being done with the television deal. A lot of fans understand the rebuild, but when you have been a fan your whole life and the team is jerked out from under you, it's gonna take a lot to fix all of this. Kind of funny how they were charging such high prices for the first series of the year against the Rangers as "dynamic pricing" and now this set against the Rangers starts with an empty house
I feel with the Rockets recent playoff showing, the Texans and college football seasons coming up, most Houston sports fans have just forgotten about the Astros because they are so bad. That and the Rangers recent "resurgence" has probably done more than the Astros not being on television. I have been wondering though what happens if the upcoming Rockets season is around the corner and there is no resolution to the situation. I mean at some point, they have to realize they won't win this battle. It not like the are the University of Texas with the Longhorn network and can make do with all that donor money...
The Astros are terrible. That is why nobody comes. Opening day for baseball was why they could charge more.
