He wants to be an actor. That's a nice dream. But honestly, does anybody really think he can act? After the last year and a half? Watching this freak show every day? Are they gonna remake Airplane? Kung Fu? Kazaam?

That poor boy is so confused.

Listening to Magic, Kobe, Mitch and the bunch....they're living on the glory days of Jerry Buss. They're all biting their lips, crossing their fingers hoping and praying he re-signs there. Because if he doesn't that franchise is down for the count for a while. Lebron ain't coming in 2014. Nobody's coming most likely. Love could opt out and come in 15. Those guys are in a precarious position and they know it. Jerry Buss is gone and Jim Buss just ain't his daddy. There is no magic there anymore. (Pardon the pun.)

So, he's talking about wanting to be an actor, etc.

    Wow.

The next few weaks are gonna be a huge roller coaster ride.

Thank you, this is exactly how I feel. This will be a very long and exciting offseason, and cyberx is only making it more interesting by giving us something we can use to help form ideas or conclusions. I believe he's credible, and I respect him for posing this info when it's obvious he didn't have to.

This may be a crazy stretch but I know!!!!! Morey reads clutchfans from radio interviews.

He was named Assistant General Manager on April 3, 2006 and succeeded Carroll Dawson

    Cybrex joined clutchfans in 2006.....

    Cybrex is a trendy tech/programming term...sounds moreyish.

    What if cyberx is morey?

Dave , doc and clutch all vouched for him and he said himself that clutch laughs at those who don't believe him...

    Just thinking

If Morey posts on Clutchfans, I've lost respect for him as a GM.

Nothing against CF, but its not something GMs should be doing. What's the point?

It's mentioned that Harden was on Dwight's ears. But has he also been active recruiting Paul? A Paul-Harden duo would be the rare 1+1 <2 case happening as both demand the ball. And after the dump to low post Dwight demands, it's gonna be an epic struggle who of the two were to handle the ball. It's rare that Miami solved the big 3 issue rather well. But LBJ is the best, Wade's health has not been the best, and Bosh can play a midrange game unlike Dwight.
So, it's unlikely that Morey is really targeting both unless Dwight and Paul together force the issue as the big-3 in Miami did.

I still think Harden can be effective off the ball. The time he spent in OKC he shared time on the court with KD and Westbrook, both of which were ahead of him as scoring options. I think playing off ball would help his game a bit as well, no more ISOs and dumping off to another player with 4 left in the shot clock hopefully.

cyberx, assuming he's legit, gets his infro from LA sources. Everything he has posted is from Howard/LA perspective, not Houston's.

    No kidding, he thinks:

So it comes down to money vs everything else. If this guy is really good friend with Dwight, it does tell us something.

At least Harden would be an instant lock for 6thMoY for 2013-14....

Agreed. Harden is a deadly shooter. He could do some kinda fake and then drive/pick, kick etc. PnR with Dwight would work pretty well as well.

I never thought I'd find a poster who would blame a GM for caring to touch base with fans.

He's posting about Dwight's frame of mind. Even if Rockets people know this, they can't say anything. It borderlines on tampering, if not already.

Dwight Howard's camp, OTOH, can say whatever they want.

I joined in 2006, and I chose an Asian sounding name so no one would guess I'm Morey.

Actually, I'm a big Morey fan. I think he's one of the best GMs in sport. Call me a LOF, I get a bit upset. Call me a MOF ... I'll take it as a compliment any day!

Morey touches base with fans in lots of different ways including season ticket holder events, radio interviews... etc.

Posting innuendo on fan forums is not a way to touch base with fans for an NBA GM, IMO.

He can post information from whatever camp he wants as long as it adds insight. Didn't see much new insight being added when everyone on Clutchfans was convinced last year that Dwight would definitely be traded to the Rockets.

Im sure there is some sort of connection between Cybrex and Daryl Morey... definitely not Morey. I believe Cybrex may be some sort of close friend or relative of Daryl Morey... I don't think anyone from the Rockets organization would come out and expose this type of information putting their job at stake.

Any good candy stores in H-Town McHale could co-incidentally bump into Dwight when he's training with the Dream?

Its 50 days until July. This could really become Dwightmare 2.0
