This was shot in regular 2D and turned into 3D in post-production. But they spent almost an entire year doing it, so it might not be so bad.

Damn what a scary situation. Probably too tense for me to watch in theaters since I can't fast forward.

Apparently the movie was supposed to star Robert Downey Jr. and Angelina Jolie. I would like to see that cast. Then RDJ dropped out due to scheduling conflict and Angelina rejected this role twice before the producers went to Natalie Portman, who also dropped out due to pregnancy.

Bullock is a better cast for it anyway.

Couldn't buy Natalie Portman or Angelina Jolie as an astronaut.

Love me some Alfonso Cuaron. Still wish he had taken over The Hunger Games trilogy, as he was rumored to be in the running.

But will definitely see this. Probably in 2D though.

Oh god I got goosebumps just watching that/thinking about being in that situation. Scary movies I can handle but this is a real thriller.

I think Jolie would have made a good Astronaut... at least good for tense movies like this. Bullock just seems way too perky.

Doesn't look that great, but I'll see anything with George Clooney... judge me

Was totally looking forward to the movie but not that much any more. "A character study set in outer space and a The Tree of Life, but in outer space?" Eh, no thanks especially coming from Bullock and Clooney. Thought this would be on the level of Moon and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Seems to me this is more of a personal technical directed movie project for Cuaron than a personal deep provocative movie like his amazing Children of Men that I truly love.

Would be a much better movie without huge movie stars -- side note: listen to the trailer again they use the exact same Sandra Bullock scream in every action scene.

It looks like Buried but in space.

Buried was an excellent movie. Even though the entire movie took place in a box underground, they still found a way to keep me on the edge of my seat.

I'm definitely intrigued by this movie.

Ok, i've actually watched the trailer a few times now and as soon as they get away from the 'stars' and the explosions start the movie gets intense. This film might be much better than I originally thought.
