Nice, man i'd be upset if alanta formed the a super team right in front of our eyes. If dwight paul and or smith are trying to team up i really hope the rockets can be the next super team.

I should not be so critical you are right there. My point was either he or who he's talking to is full of s**t. How does he have info from Dwight's camp. What makes you think this is tangible info? Just saying the asik thing was not insider info and now he's got a lot of you thinking he's an insider and is fooling y'all.

I see you are new here.

Truth is, you don't know if the OP is an insider or not. Why don't you give yourself some time here on CF — maybe more than 3 months — before you start bashing other members? There are a lot of people here that enjoy threads like these with an open mind, and don't appreciate the kind of arrogance and negativity your post contains. I couldn't care less how you feel about cyberx. The bigger issue is that your self-aggrandizing behavior shows disrespect toward everyone here.

    Thank you for the information.

Even if it's true, we have to realize who we are talking about here. He is the same guy that was adamant about being traded two trade deadlines ago, but then he decided to opt-in.

Who knows what this man feel in another month....

Do you have zero idea how the spread of inside info works? Dear god, this is standard for every sport. In some instances, people talk with someone about stuff and there are certain stuff that they're allowed to share with the public in forums- this sort of stuff happens all the time in college football.

It's like you don't follow sports or anything at all...

I'm guessing (ok, maybe hoping) that after this last season, his priorities might have shifted. Maybe he realized the grass isn't always greener on the other side, and that ultimately, the only way he can truly be happy is to look out for HIS best interest. Getting onto the Lakers probably seemed like a great idea at the time, but once he joined that team and experienced the dysfunction first-hand, he probably pined for his time in Orlando all over again. I think he looks at the Rockets, and sees how well all the guys get along, as well as how close they are to being a true contender, and sees himself as that final piece.

Like you said though....eventually, we're all just spectators. This is going to come down to whether Dwight wants to be a Rocket or not. There's no trade that needs to be worked out. There's no negotiating with front offices. He knows the offer the Rockets are going to give him, and he's free to decide whether he wants to put pen to paper.

my gut says Dwight stays in LA. Not for smart basketball reasons but because of perceived added amount of $$$, spotlight, influence from friends/agents etc, Lakers "Mystique" and I'm sure they are promising to make him their star and leader of the future (Kobe's days are numbered) and surrounding him with talent (in a year or whenever)

His only reason to come to Houston is for basketball reasons...join a superstar, core of young players with a promising future, playoff team ready to take the next step...the $ are less (Even w/the millionaires tax), the city foreign, the spotlight less, no family/no roots...it will take a lot of convincing to get dwight to committ to Houston...ultimately I think he'll cave to the pressures of staying in LA, chillin' on the beach and the glitz of Hollywood....

unfortunately I know what that's like. I grew up in Houston, still love the city, but currently live in LA and the lifestyle is...well, there is really no comparison (if money is no object)

What makes it tangible is that he works for an agency. The person he's talking to likely also works for an agency, and probably has connections to Dwight's camp.

Thanks for the info OP. Btw, Fegan can go a choke on a dildo for all I care. More than obvious he's more in it for his own reasons. I will always love Asik for everything he gave us this year, but Dwight is an obvious upgrade Hopefully this pans out, and Dwight fires Fegan's stupid ass

That's actually not a bad point, i've wondered why he's risking it also...but we dont know how many people know this information. If you have a larger group of people on the inside talking about it, then it would be hard to know who leaked it out, especially if the info is traveling from one agency to the other. There would be too many people involved to narrow it down.

Also, remember that sometimes leaked info is actually good for an agency, if it helps them accomplish what they want. for all we know, it's his boss giving him the OK.

Another good one from the Laker forum. The excuses never end from Laker's fans.

You say hes an insider, I say he's not. That's as disrespectful as I got. I didn't call him an idiot. Others seem to want to attack me and that's ok. Just like I feel I should point out that to me this is BS, people seem to need to call me an idiot.

This is from a forum that wants to trade Lin every other day, hang harden after one bad game, and has a "is this unproven PF with less than 10 games under his belt our future?"
So it's all good, no feelings hurt
