What's there to be disappointed about? Howard used to be our meal ticket. Now, we have a ton of ways we can build a title contender.
You would still need to sign and trade to get Kevin Love, so why not just trade for him this offseason if he's available? Asik, Trob and White will make it work, throw in some picks if necessary and you can get Love with minimal impact to capspace. Then you can re-sign him the next year for whatever, or let him pick up his player option.
17.1 points is barely more than 11.7 points. 2.4 blocks is barely more than 1.1 blocks. 58% FG is barely more than 54% FG. 4.7 FT made is barely more than 2 FT made. 1.1 steals is barely more than .6 steals.
No no no. Keep Asik and you can make our version of the wonder twins... Wonder twin powers unite... "in the form of someone who can catch (Asik), In the form of some decent post moves (Dwight)" They both have to get rings for their superpowers to work.
I'm confused who gets the final say Dwight or his agent should we start recruiting his agent to come 2 houston too who had the final word Dwight or his agent
this x 10000000 why the lakers wouldn't go this route is beyond me... i mean, why in the hell would you hold onto d'antoni, regardless of the dwight situaton, when pjax is waiting in the wings? unless there is a serious rift between kobe and dwight (and there could be) - going in any other direction seems downright foolish.
Why is Dwights Agent against him coming to Houston and why don't he think Rockets can put a championship team around him ?????
You are such a dumbass... Asik had a great season, yes, especially in regards to his paltry $8M contract for consistent double-double output. HOWEVER, he still did not come even close to Howard's WORST season due to coming back prematurely from a back surgery he was still trying to recover from. I know you are dumb, but let that sink in for a second.
Didn't the Lakers say no to Phil because his demands were too ridiculous? (not going to away games, etc)
I believe the nets can't get Howard thru sign and trade as both the lakers and the nets are over the luxury tax this year. Correct? This is good news but Dwight has been acting like a little girl which means his mind will change back and forth for the next 2 months.
I forget why but somehow Fegan didn't like the way one or more his free agents were treated by the team in the past years ago. He has since decided to steer all his clients away from Houston and towards his preferred team destinations that will work with him. I'm very sketchy on the details and I would also love for someone to clarify it for us.
You should take it seriously, but you should also keep in mind that 2 months is a long time, and that the situation is very fluid. However, the fact that Dwight likes Houston's team, and obviously gets along well with Harden, McHale, and Hakeem all bode well. To me, it seems like Fegan is the linchpin in all of this. He's a scumbag to the fullest, and he's trying to persuade his client to stay with the team that will earn HIMSELF the most money.
Dwight Howard himself on this current roster is add/improve already. The only glaring issue is PF and all those cats are YOUNG and who knows....Jones might come back next year better...DMo might....TRob might work on something....anything. DH knows that. Delf and Garcia are quality role players....Lin is decent, Bev is decent, AB also decent... Chandler is great, Harden is great....and as far as Lin....I'm sure his game will all of a sudden hit the light switch adding someone like DH. The supporting cast is already there.... Very young team that also happens to already be a playoff team without him in the WEST....with no changes other than just adding him, that's gotta be a 7 to 10 increase in regular season wins at the least, I would think. Push for top 3 finish yearly...just by adding him. He's not gonna say...."I will only come if you get rid of _____ & _____ &_____" Morey will do that if he deems it beneficial to the team to win a chip, but not just because DH said so.....
Every time DH says he's going to do what makes him happy, i think he's talking about staying in LA. If these reports are true though, he could be talking about going against his agent's wishes...
lol....that's obvious... That said....so what. morey does his job and is one of the best at it. Gaygan just mad the Rox were trying to throw salt in DH's plan a couple years ago. Long-term....Morey did/is doing DH a favor.
