i don't read it and have watched the first 4 episodes because i was at a friend's house who is a huge fan. i enjoyed what i saw and keep telling myself to watch the rest since i have access via hbogo. that was over a year ago. never bothered with it again.

I admit it's like an ongoing historical fantasy soap opera but so what? It is what it is. You want a story that ends very week? Go watch "Law and Order: SVU" or whatever it's called.

No life? I'd reserve that for the people, so sorry, who showed up at the "Iron Man 3" premiere wearing an Iron Man mask (and were subsequently told to remove it, please).

It's pretty annoying how everyone seems to assume that everyone else is caught up in the story and make reference to what happens and drop spoilers.

I read the first book and then watched the 1st season. Really enjoyed it though. I wanted to read the second book but I don't think I can wait so I may just skip it and watch season 2

Yeah, it is. It's in the HANGOUT. This is where silly threads are born. So? Tell me something I don't know.

All thee other "Game of Thrones" threads are like the LOF vs. LOH threads in the G.A.R.M., except here no one is against anything. :p

SRSLY? Four threads in the Hangout just for GOT? How is THAT for silly?

What I did was read and watch at the same time, reading the episode preview to make sure i didn't get ahead of the book. But about half way through I just read through to the end of the book, and then watched the last 5 episodes after.
