I know there's a forum for this but this board gets the most traffic of all the non-sports boards. I have to get to Southern California for a family emergency and can only find a flight, at best, for $400. If there is something I'm not seeing, please help because it's tough to find a great deal on such short notice.
If you need to go to SoCal try looking for flights to alternate airports. Use Ontario instead of LAX, for example. Also, a one-stop flight with a change of planes might be cheaper than a nonstop flight. Good luck finding a low price. It's tough since you need to travel on short notice.
Yep, already did and that is the ideal airport because I'll actually be going to the Inland Empire. I'm just trying to see if people know of something I don't, whether I've looked under every rock and driven every avenue or whatever other metaphor I can make up. It's hard to get cheap flights at the last minute. By the way, ideally, I'd be leaving any day this weekend and coming back in the middle of next week.
I know a few tricks, but $340 is about the best you're going to find at this point. Next closest I found was $300 into San Diego and out of Long Beach:
