Tyreke Evans is becoming a free agent this summer. He was drafted in 2009 4th overall right after James Harden. Guy came out and averaged 20-5-5 his rookie year and won ROY. I feel since he's been stuck in Sactown, he can't really let his game play out (especially since they move him to a new position every season). Guy wants to be a pg, yet sac played him at 2 and 3.

He's probably not going to sign with Sacremento again. His career stats are 18-5-5 which is really good if you ask me. I doubt he'd fit well in Houston, but there are surely plenty of other teams that could use a hybrid guard to run their offense. Dallas, Utah, Orlando and I am sure a few other teams wouldn't mind getting this kid. Still young, and still has a high ceiling.

Sacramento is the worst place for any rookies to go to for development. Feel bad for them sometimes.

How much will the market set for him? Ideally, I think he's worth around anything under $11m, but knowing how desperate some teams are, he's probably going be offered the max.

The max? 11m a year? LOL. If he gets 8m a year he should feel lucky. Good player, still young, sac team was a mess, but he didnt help to that situation also.

IDK, but probably because he feels like even though he's not developing, he's still the best player on their team (maybe 2nd behind D Cous). If he gets put into a good system (Boston, Chicago, etc.) the coach would work on him and show him he needs to develop to be successful. Can't coast on your talent.

I think he is probably entitled to a 2 year 12 Million dollar contract with a player option in year two similar to what OJ Mayo got last year.

    The Market.

Someone's going to overpay and I think that number should be $11m, but with the way some of the teams are paying players, it could go up to a max.

I'll take him at PG if we can get him for 7-8 Mill, and trade Lin to the Bucks, or Jazz for there first, but a Harden/Evens backcourt could be deadly

I like how Evans is aggressive and attacks the baskets, Lin use to be that way during his Linsanity days in New York, but kinda shy'd away from it this year thanks to Mchale

I think he's a nice player. He can get to the rim and finish as well as anyone. His numbers dont necessarily show it but he's learning how to play off the ball which is good for his development.

He'll get about half of what you think. Reke is more tarnished than you realize and the new CBA has completely changed the salary game for non-superstars.

However, if he accepts a short 2-year contract (which is likely IMO), he might get up to $7-$8 million per season.

Dallas would love Tyreke, imo. That's probably the best place for him. He, along with a healthy Dirk, would help get Dallas back into the playoffs again.

If anything, I think the Market is going to start putting downward pressure on these type of guys. The new luxury tax for repeat violators is going to seperate out the real stars from the pretenders as teams are forced to economize.

I see more teams trying to emmulate the Rockets, Spurs, OKC approach to roster construction, i.e. lock up the real stars to max-deals, and find cheap role players through intensive analysis and research.

The market is the same as it ever was. Last year Landry Fields got 3 years, $19 million. Demar Derozan got 5 years, $50 million. Beasley: 3 years, $18 million.

Tyreke will get a three or four year deal of $8-$9 million/yr. Look at how many teams have cap space this summer and how few free agents there are. Evans will be paid at least Rodney Stuckey money.

I would maybe consider giving him the MLE to be a sixth man. Maybe.

How good of a defender is Tyreke?

I love him cuz he can get to the rack. Takes as many shots at the rim as Wade - more than Harden. Gets fewer FTA's than he should though at only 4.4 per game. If he could be expected to get more than 5 a game, I'd love him even more.

He shot a respectable 34% from the 3 point line.

I don't know where he'd be squeezed in on the Rockets, but I like him.
