#1 they wouldn't have to do much to the rotation to get one or the other; if they could get both they would gut the whole team minus Harden and maybe Parsons guaranteed.

#2: both of those players are free agents, to get one we don't have to trade for them in fact we just have to trade a Power Forward or two

#3 that wouldn't be a gut.

Morey holds everything so close to his chest. Last year prior to the Harden trade he kept saying that this was the team. He also said that he felt they could make the playoffs at a season ticket holder's event the day after the draft. He later admitted that he was nervous pre-Harden.

Morey has the best poker face in this game and refuses to let anyone except the select few (Les, Tad, Gerson and probably Harden) in on his plan.
