I'm leery of scams but I was just informed that I won the lottery and that there is £ 8,000,000 in a bank for me in Manchester, England.

This almost sounds too good to be true but I was told about other winners who had won it. They said all I needed to do was send my checking account and routing numbers, my social security number, full name, home address and home phone number so that they could verify that I am who I am and know how and where to send my certificate so I can stake my claim.

I have all of the info typed out in a response e-mail but was unsure of whether or not this is a scam, which is why I came here. What should I do?

I got one of these too, and I filled it out and now I'm a millionaire. You should do it.

I'll make sure I give you all at least $1,000. I appreciate good advice.

Did you get a supplemental plan or did you get paid up front?

    LOL this guy...

In other notes, you should fly out Manchester and pick it up in person. It's a lovely city with culture and industrialist architecture. It's also home to one of the greatest football team in the world.

Believe it or not, after all the training we have done on what to do with spam mails. We still have staffs here that would give out their login and password on various random tech support emails.

Did you know that Clutch added information protection to the site.

You can't post your social security info. It comes out like *. Just like curse words.
    Watch:

    My social is ***-**-****.

Also, my home address is 1600, Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, D.C., my full name is Hugh Mann Bing, my social is 123456789. I'll PM you my banking info, I wouldn't want to give that out to random people I don't know or trust on the internet, unlike the bank I mentioned in the OP.

I won too. I was told that they had to extract all my money to verify my account. Still waiting for the money to hit. I'd imagine it takes a really long time for so much money to be wired. 65 days without a roof, but it'll be SO worth it in the end.

Why do you need to do this scam?

I make $2,000 per day working from home! If you are interested, let me know! You can attend a free seminar. There will be snacks and drinks.
