Correct. What I mean by over rated is this. Everyone has been talking like the Heat will win every playoff game. Then they lose to a depleted team. Be honest guys, you were thinking they'll dominate every game.
There were comparisons of whether the heat could beat the record of 15-1 in playoffs. That's how highly the Heat are regarded. Of course they are a good team, I'm not denying that. But it's too early to say they'll repeat. The Bucks had a losing record going into the playoffs, so it's no surprise they were swept.
They're the odds-on favorite to repeat. There are very few certainties ever in sports...but it's difficult for me to imagine the Heat losing over a 7 game series to anyone left in the playoffs. We'll see...as I said, I wouldn't mind being wrong, just because it would be far more interesting. Coming into the playoffs, it's easy to suggest that this team is capable of pulling a 15-1 over the playoffs...given what they did during the regular season. It would be a huge accomplishment...but this is the type of team capable of doing something like that.
really? the 96 Bulls (with their 72 wins) lost to the expansion Toronto Raptors. It's one effing game...it tells you nothing. I don't even like the Heat..but this is getting ridiculous.
They played at Toronto and lost by 1 point... and that was mid season... The playoffs are a different animal...They should be focused, rested and determined...After they just saw how these depleted Bulls dispatched of a more talented and athletic Nets team, I can promise you that the Heat werent taking the Bulls lightly...The game was close most of the time...But the Bulls surprisingly closed it out..That being said...i do agree that these Bulls will lose this series to the Heat...but that 72-10 Bulls playoff team...never lost at home in those playoffs... We should stop making excuses for a full strength Miami Heat team...
Agree. Remember last year when the Thunder went up 1-0? Everyone crowned the Thunder after one game. It's unbelievable to me how people react over one silly game in a 7 game series. The freaking Heat had 8 days off, they were rusty, not really motivated and they had a small wake up call here and they STILL should have won that game. Heat win the next 4.
I don't care when it was. That was an expansion team literally in their first year of existence. From game to game, crap happens. Losing one game to a playoff team doesn't diminish who the Heat are or what they've accomplished. It's ridiculous.
I have never implied that the wonderful season that the heat have had should be diminished...infac the premise of this thread (title) is flawed...All i have pointed out is that sometimes, superior coaching can beat out just plain talent...The Heat have had a great year, but I cant say that the coaching from the Heat sideline is as impressive as what i have seen with the Bulls... The superior talent that the Heat have, may mask the solid job that Coach Spo in doing in Miami... That being said...I fully expect Miami to rebound and beat the Bulls this series...but the game 1 loss was bad...everyone in Miami are just full of excuses(too many days off, rust, missing open looks, etc etc etc...) and i believe that this diminishes the job coach Thibs did in preparing the Bulls to face the defending champs at their house...and Beat them...
Probably was discussed pages ago but that tech on Sam Young was an absolute joke. In that situation if the refs are going to tech they usually at least double tech but guys involved.
Lol, this is gonna bite you in the ass just like when you posted this thread. Heat win the next three.
So this guy comes out only once every few weeks when the Heat lose? Lol Look the Heat haven't even played their best this round and managed to win one game and barely lose the other while Indiana has been playing at their best. Heat's best>>>>Pacers best
Their problem is in the paint, whether they win championship this year or not, I feel they will make some big moves to improve their bigs.
