You are an idiot. You first reference a few friends that are Bulls fans to try and support your position. You then say I cannot speak in absolutes and then do the same damn thing.

Whatever, I live in the city, am at the bars, the game and discuss it regularly. There are a lot of fans in Chicago upset Rose isn't playing and there have been articles written about it.

Is he Bud Adams? No, but the fans are upset.

Imagine if this was TMac doing this instead of Rose. Complete double standard.

I said that to make it clear that if the majority of the fan base thought that, wouldn't I see more people turning on him? Being upset about the situation isn't turning on him... that's two different things. All I'm saying is based on what you've said, you can't say that the majority of the fans are turning on him. Turning on him would be the equivalent of booing him, if they showed him up on the jumbotron at the UC, can you definitively say they would boo him?

Yet again you try to twist the discussion to make you look like less of a dope. I said a majority of fans in Chicago think he should be playing. I didn't say anything about booing him or any other arbitrary determinations of "turning on him" that you magically just pulled out of your ass.

Next time read what I wrote before storming in. I am done discussing this, you cannot even keep your eye on the ball.

You're right, you said the majority of fans think he should be playing, my mistake.

    You win.

There is absolutely no reason to come back.

He won't instantly gel with the team vs the best team in the NBA. Getting 3-4 months more rest, and getting ready for next season is the best long term bet.

When a player is as young as Rose, long term is more important than this year.

I've torn the ACL on my right knee twice now while playing football(aussie rules). It seems a long way back after the reconstruction and I certainly had a lot of worries coming back about how good I would be and the bigger concern was not feeling confident in the knee, it took me basically a year before I got it out of my head that it was weaker than the other one.... then I did it again and it was a lot worse the 2nd time but luckily that was 5 years ago now and while I lost a bit of agility I'm still playing football and basketball.

Anyways the point being it's natural to be worried but at some point you have to take the leap, Rose has already taken several.. the first time changing direction, the first time doing a full training and scrimmage etc. and it does surprise me he still hasn't played(going off the info I know), perhaps he just needs to be at his best when he comes back instead of just playing a few more minutes each night to build up the confidence which is what I would recommend.

Once at work I was typing with such intensity for hours that my hands went numb. I shook it off and recovered from it like a champion, and went back to work 10 minutes later.

Its understandable that he doesnt want to come back since he is the franchise player and all however the way he's going about this whole situation is not right especially for the fans who been waiting all season to get a glimpse off him. If you don't think your going to play, just say it and be done with it instead of getting the fans hopes up. At this point I dont know what it will take to see this guy play this season. Honestly it's too late for him to return now.

It's really easy to talk a lot of crap when you guys are not the one in a situation where you have to evaluate the risk of coming back to early and destroying a 100+ million dollar career. Some of the posts here are pathetic.

Why should you start playing him if Nate does all the thing well and he is on fire right now. Why should you put Rose who can miss all the shots because of mental problems. If he is not ready 100% and team has guy on fire (PG), why should he play?

He could step in as bench player for 5-10 mins just to see how it goes in game3, no way comeback is in Miami.

I've broken my elbow like Bogut did. Fractured it while playing basketball. All I wanted to do is play basketball after it was healed. Was terrible rehabbing. Couldn't use my dominant arm at all for a month since initially all my fingers had to be held steady too.

Heard a few boos at game 4 vs the nets when they were showing all the players dunking in college and the nba. Ppl were pissed that they kept showing rose. At least my section was booing and commenting he shouldn't be in the hype videos. Honestly I didn't care but the bulls will coddle rose for 1. Salary is being paid by insurance 2. Prices will be higher next season because he will return 3. He gives them a piece to attract other stars once they get caproom.

Regardless if he does comeback against the heat, he should be a bench player. Hope dengs ready to go by game 3

Derrick Rose will have plenty of money for the rest of his life even if he does come back and tears up his knee again. Grant Hill, who people like to compare him to, is not struggling to make ends meet.

Right now it's hard to argue that Rose is toughing it out and trying to get back on the court as soon as he can. He is taking every precaution which might be the right choice but it is also a choice that would put him in the "softer" category when it comes to professional athletes. You can still call him soft even if being soft is the right thing to do.

Stephen A Smith said Rose should take his time...

Ryan Rucco said "you said opposite about Jeremy Lin he should play at 85% "

It's ridiculous to compare him to other athletes. Everyone's is affected differently mentally. Again, from experience I cannot begin to describe how horrible it feels to snap your knee ligaments and see your knee bend the wrong way.
Playing tentatively is probably the worst thing he can do It can lead to other injuries.

Do ya'll seriously expect this guy to come back in the second round of the playoffs against Miami when he hasn't played a single game this entire season??!?! Teams do have a thing called chemistry ya know...The Bulls are playing some really good basketball and D. Rose coming back will hinder that....

Some of ya'll are foolish....Regardless of if he makes 100 mil. or 100 dollars, I'd rather wait it out until I'm sure I'm good and actually let me continue to gel together than to risk having a knee replacement when I'm 42. Being a good ball player is about leadership too ya know, not just your on court ability....
