Why are people using 1 game as a measure of a poor playoff performance? He played average in the first half of Game 2 and played with an injury for the remaining games.
Yeah, basically Lin played one full playoff game (where everyone looked bad), the first half of the second game where he was injured before half time. And then a few minutes in game 3 and 6. We really didn't see him get to play his best in any of the playoff games. Some of it is on him, some of it is on the injury but people really just love having someone to blame and Lin is a easy target. I'm surprise how many people are latching onto the idea that he lost us Game 6 like he was the one defending Durant or Kevin Martin or even their PG Jackson all night and getting lit up (Lin was on Fisher when he played much of his time in the game).
Not sure if srs, because I can't tell with clutchfans these days, but the entire team minus Beverley game 1.
Lol, it seems your the one who needs to lighten up. I just pointed out some things and your getting all defensive. I thought forsythtroy's cat was funny, the one posted above. It's just nothing you say has seemed funny, maybe it doesn't carry over in written form. So what was the joke? "Lin looks scared" ? You must be the life of the party since you keep repeating it over and over again in this thread. It's my fault. I was hoping for an intelligent discussion.
I thought your cat was funny, the one making fun of the discussion I was in. If I find humor in it, it doesn't matter who it's about. Even if it's me.
I voted yes but now I want to publicly denounce that vote. Why? Because Lin and Houston Rockets bball simply do NOT mix. Lin has shown thst he is more than willing to sacrifice his game for the Rockets because Rockets were the only team willing to give him a contract last summer. But looking at the way he was used on the team this year, I just do not see any real advantage for Lin's career to stay with the Rockets when the team is really using Harden as the PG. On the team side, the type of bball that the Rockets play does not need Lin. The Rockets have misused Lin and will continue to misuse him because they no longer need the player Lin they signed last summer. So yes, Lin will need to adjust his game majorly to fit into the new system but in this system he will never be able to shine the way he did in NYK and to continue to grow his game to become who he is capable of becoming. It is a TOTAL waste of his talent and Rockets $$$. Please, Morey, free Lin.
Lin has a lot to work on. He has easily been the worst point guard in the playoffs. He isn't really the biggest problem on the team though. I feel Harden didn't really live up to his superstar expectations. Lin is really an average to slightly above average point guard right now and it's stupid to expect him to be the deciding factor in any series. This will be even more so true once we get our second (or first) superstar.
I never thought so many people could glean the future of a player from a series where they played injured. And I never thought so many people could clamor to put a player onto a pedestal so soon after six games. Astounding.
please don't use "We" like you a Rockets fan , I'm pretty sure you are just a Jeremy fan that wants him back on the Knicks or wants him to go play for the Lakers because of Mike D'Antoni. Its only Jeremy's first season as a Rocket , and he will become a much player next season in a Rockets' uniform
I think you are spot on. Look at the nic and look at the join date. Just a poser on Clutchfans. Hey TC777, how many Lin Knicks jerseys do you own?
So SF, maybe you missed my last post but I asked who else you thought on the Rockets in recent years looked like they were scared or crapped in their pants? Or what other players come to mind besides Lin?
This thread is not about the series, it's about the whole season. Try to read the original post before posting.
thanks! I just wanted to rant to a clueless Jeremy/Mike D'Antoni fan that's clearly still living in the "Linsanity" era
None. But I do have his Rockets jersey. Just really don't think this is a good marriage. It may work out satisfactorily somehow someway next year or the year after (if he is still here). But it will NEVER be a bliss for the team and Lin. Just cut the tie now and spare the moaning and groaning. Plus you will not have to deal with the LOF. Unfortunately I will still be here because of Harden
