The reasoning I guess makes sense, but can you trade coaches like that? I know you can sorta do that in baseball like when theo went from the Red Sox to Cubs, but what about basketball?

 

LMAO. Teams are lucky that a coach can't be traded. You'd see Morey's fleecings taken to a whole new level.

Technically coaches CAN get traded.

Also, I mentioned this morning to a friend that I wouldn't be surprised if KG, Paul and Doc all end up with the Clippers together. And then threw out that they might as well trade them as a package. I haven't looked at how the contracts work but I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this happen as Clips really need a scoring low post player.

I don't even know who the Clippers have as their GM at the moment, but I can't imagine he would be that bad.

 

Not really. What team wants to trade 2 young, talented players like Griffin and Bledsoe for 2 old, talented players like Pierce and Garnett? Their window of opportunity for a championship would shrink to 1 or 2 years, tops.

 

I assume this would go hand-in-hand with signing Howard? And all this without losing Parsons??

If you're going to trade coaches and players why not just have cities trade franchises? I'm sure the Clippers would be happy to play for some people in the NE while the Celts might like a break from the constant berating by the cast of Good Will Hunting. A comatose LA fanbase would doubtless be a nice change.
