 Haters certainly did more than just have doubts about him.

I think there's a big difference between playing two and half games and not playing at all. I'm sure he learned something. We could see some of it in the first half of the second game already. It was a big obstacle and could be the source of more motivation for him.

I don't understand why people have to keep harping on this theme. Fact is, we have no idea how he'll pan out, it's all speculation, homers and homers. How do YOU know? Just look at Nash and TP's stats in their first years as starters.

Again, stop trolling others for their opinions/speculations and stating your opinion as fact, thereby holier-than-others.

    Edit: homers being homers.

I'm glad Lin is dealing with reality and actuality of where he currently is in his career. That is all a lot of us on the garm had been trying to exploit to these LOH's. Seems like they don't get it or they're just offended by the truth. At this point I just hope Lin gets better.

exactly...we have no idea what he will be. He has to tools to be as good as any of them...its just whether or not he puts it together. Which I believe he will, and am pulling for him.

Fans often forget and regret it later. You just dont bash at our players, because it does nothing to help the team out.

Whether you like Lin or not as a person or as a player, nothing you can do. With that being said, if there is a chance for a trade Lin vs CP3, then no matter who you are, u will take that trade in a heart beat.

As Fans, you can only wish for better and better upgrades for your team. Given our Playoffs run it really exposed our weakest at the 4 position and our ability to lock down on defense.

Remember at the beginning of the year what a splash with "A New Age and his image" on the bulletin board? What a disappointment considering the big salary. Making way more than Raymond Felton, Nate Robinson, and many others in the league but performing only on par or worse.

While other players like Parsons and Asik worked hard last summer improving themselves, he toured Asia for over a month like a super star. Yet this coming summer he is going to Asia again instead of grinding his nose on practicing? Luck can only take you this far.

basketball reference game finder, use "show hide/search form" to figure out how to use it. :)

    http://www.basketball-reference.com...&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order_by=fg_pct#stats::none

8 assists is way too much. only 4 pg's averaged 8ast or more this year. the only way that's happening is if harden starts playing off the ball. .

lin averaging 6 assists is already great. he's being used as a spot-up shooter more than any other pg, and is initiating pick and roll less than any other pg.

seriously, just think about that for a second.;)

 how many times has he talked about needing to improve? This was his his first season as a started and first off season as one of the top veteran guys on a team

Lin could average 8-10 assists if a) he plays more minutes; b) he has more control of ball.

He would average 10+ assists if put on the Celtics as primary ball handler like Rondo did.

He explicitly required that there must be a basketball court our gym around him at all times so that he can practice. His shooting coach is the same shooting coach that worked with him in the D-League and New York, whose evaluation of him seems to be pretty solid and spot on. He's going to work at it and he's going to improve.

He's not going to be coming away from his first major injury, he's not going to be going through rehab.

    He's fine. Jeremy's fine. - McHale

Remember that significant knee injury? You know, the first one that you suffer and you can't even trust your own leg? How about the part where you spend the entire training camp practicing for a specific role only to have it change in the very last second with the addition of a new player? (I by no means imply that James Harden is a negative addition to our team, but may have had a negative effect to Jeremy Lin)

He's spend the rest of the season adjusting to the learning curve, battling the mental battle of recovering from a recent injury, and helps us into the playoffs.

You act like he hasn't had his string of memorable games where it was a row of double doubles of points and assists, high scoring career tying games, or just cold ice in his veins clutch plays that have helped us secured wins to make the playoffs.

The biggest knock I can make for him not improving is because he didn't really get to play in the playoffs, but he did. His first game was a stinker, his 2nd game looked like he was adjusting and half way through he gets injured. He knows the pressure, he feels the intensity and now the biggest critic he's going to have to deal with is himself.

improve his three ball and mid range game. The jumping in the air with no place to go, all inexperienced guards do that. It will go away.

He also needs to be a little selfish, take 14 shots instead of 11. Stat dorks get an arousal from more points.

also cut the turnover by .2 a game. very doable.

For someone who went from a undrafted player to a a NBA starter for a full season you sure are quick to downplay how hard he works. Sorry buddy but no one gets to his current position without putting in some serious work.
