Well, two large cracks while walking around in my attic to see where I need to add more insulation. How dafuq do I fix this cheaply?

Call Lionel Richie. He will dance on your ceiling, thereby adding further damage and weakening the structural viability of your home. He will do this all nite long, until every bit of material separating the attic from the rest of your house is disintegrated on the floor below in a fine powdery mess. But don't worry - now that you have no ceiling, he will chastise you as he builds you a brick house (ow). Then you can invite some douchebag investment bankers over to enjoy some fine wine in your new red-brick loft. But you better not forget to thank Lionel Richie. Never forget to thank Lionel Richie.
One was a pretty huge crack. But I got away with putting a flatboard in the attic and screwing the sinking part of the ceiling to it so that it is flat again. Put mud on it, and will do so again on Wednesday. Then will paint it on Saturday. The other crack was small enough so that all that was needed was to knock some of the sheetrock off and put up some mud. I had a home repair guy come out because I had no idea how to handle it, but since I did some of the work he gave me a good deal. Anyway, I appreciate all those who volunteered to fill my holes.
