That usually happens when 3/5 of the rotation has been ineffective to incompetent. On Jose Veras blowing the save: Despite that, he hasn't been a horror show. Sure, he's got a 5.25 ERA, but his FIP is 2.75. Veras has also had some pretty crappy luck, as in addition to his FIP being 2.5 runs lower than his actual ERA, he's allowed a .355 BABIP and a 61.6% strand rate. His strand rate has usually been in the mid-70s in his career. However, I do agree that there shouldn't be a closer for this team. I hope Josh Fields is ready to return in the next 2 weeks or so...
Yikes, not sure what that song is about but I gave up on it after about 10 seconds. That is horrible music man
I know it is a Sunday line-up, but the starting 9 (Grossman/Martinez/Castro/Pena/Corporan/Laird/Ankiel/Cedeno/Gonzalez) doesn't exactly look like it's going to be a lot of (any?) trouble for Verlander (at least Castro already has a walk).

great observation after listening to 10 seconds... that album was really good, they did a great job to distance timberlake from a boyband image and broke into the r&b scene.. i cant fathom anyone saying timbaland is horrible, if you dont like it you dont like it,but horrible?? pssshhh.. timbo is king.. anyways back on topic..

I for one am glad to see some movement. I was beginning to wonder when patience/waiting would run out. Perhaps this serves notice to Carter whose numbers are only marginally better than Ankiel.
i'm a broken record, but it seems like ankiel should be giving it one last shot at pitching before he calls it a career.
The Astros have a lot of AAAA talent in AAA. This will make for some hard decisions for the 40 man roster prior to the next Rule 5 draft. It is probably better for the Astros to give those bubble players some Show time before then.
