Daryl Morey signs 4-year extension, Leslie: McHale to stay

Not happy about McHale but he did okay in the playoffs with adjustments. He did it Brooks though.

 

McHale improved but Harden's Iso's should have curtailed.

 

People act like changing to a new coach w/ a new rotation every year is going to lead us to a championship. I'd rather work on what we did this year, which took us pretty far in the first round.

 

No we don't, you're completely missing the point. We do not want to keep changing coaches and rotations. Continuity is very important but if you have inferior coaches and players it means nothing. We are skeptical if what we have is enough for a championship run.

 

good news!!!! McHale did a fantastic job with this young team and the personal year he had. Love it!

 

This whole ISO thing has been blown well out of proportion. I saw very little of it aside from end of quarters when it should be run too not allow teams much time for a last shot, Harden knocked down a good amount of those shots as well

 

not a surprise why would they fire someone who took you the playoffs seems dumb to me but yall wouldn't listen

^^^ EXACTLY!!!! thank you..... this isn't a baseball team where there is a revolving door every year and for people on this site to think its smart to constantly bring in new players every year ....wow obviously have not particpiated in sports much themselves... its all about "chemistry" Gotta have team chemistry!!! sure adding a piece or subtracting a piece to add a piece is obvious but not a complete overhaul evey single offseason...

 

While I'm not a big fan of McHale, you can't question results. He got as much out of this team as could have been realistically expected.

My only major beef this year was D-mo and Jones. I still feel they should have played all year for developmental reasons. The harden iso's it seems are more a Harden problem than McHale problem.

If Harden makes his improvements this offseason, even without Howard I expect this to be a 50 win team next year.

Morey was a no brainer.

 

this would lead me to believe they are probably not adding a major free agent this summer, and instead opting to let the team just grow organically next season.

 

Obvious decision that was coming.

While some of McHale's decisions were suspect throughout the season, given the inexperience of the team and expectations going into the season, I think he did a great job. He's learning along with the players and it shows that he's more comfortable in his role. All we need now are some actual plays and ball movement.
