Nice. As this series went on, it seemed like it's Harden who decides to ISO all the time, not McHale who is always talking about ball movement. I think the movement will get better next year.

Not surprised on McHale. If he doesn't return, it will be his choice. The Rockets don't fire coaches in recent memory.

    McHale's staying... *sigh*

Hope he improves as a coach.
Hope he can get Howard to come here.
I hope he can get his rotations settled before the playoffs.
I hope he can get this team to execute down the stretch.
I hope he can get Harden to do fewer step-back 3pt ISOs at the end of games.

McHale acquitted himself well in the playoffs. And he let on that he's not calling the ISOs for Harden in the endgame.

If we're keen to recruit DHoward, McHale is our guy.

McHale isn't that bad of a coach - still green his rotations were very puzzling but his roster was always fluctuating either because of trades or injuries - I think he can and will do a better job next season if there was some more stability with the roster

Whether clutchfans consensus opinion agrees or not, McHale has earned another season. He flat out coached Scott Brooks out of his shoes this series.

Good to hear. Didn't Morey resign a long time ago? Or was it just now announced officially?

Good stuff. I don't think he's the best coach out there, but the skills to develop big men is important. I'm particularly impressed with how has given the players such freedom on offense and sometimes even allowing them to fail. It will make them better players. I'm also impressed with how he has executed the organization's playing strategy rather than imposing his own preferences (half court D and inside-out offense) on the team.

Morey is the best GM out there, glad he's staying.

    This.
I became way more comfortable with McHale as a coach during the playoffs.

If young players improve, can't young coaches also improve? McHale is a young coach.

I just hope Morey can help him out with the analytical stuff like best 5-man rotations, ideal substitution patterns, and the inefficiency of hero ball.

    Freedom on offense=no playbook.
Big men coach skills? Doesn't play big men.

with a young team like this, you want a degree of stability especially with the coaching staff. thats why i wasnt too keen on getting a new coach, because mchale is a great players coach. i think after summer camp, this team will start to come together on both ends of the floor.

If McHale would just improve his XandOs he'd be a perfect coach really.

If I were Morey or someone in the front office I'd send this guy to some coaching seminar's or something.

well deserved. After an entire season Morey has done well for himself and McHale has shown he has the ability to grow as a coach from here. Bright future.
