I hope your trolling. If not then you really do need to be banned. I'm sorry James Harden at the age of 23 starting for the first time with new teammates is not Lebron James or Kevin Durant. U should probably never post again. Just go ahead and do everyone a favor and delete your account
Dumb thread... Harden has a long way to go in some areas but he is the main reason Rox have legit future. He is a legit marquee player who will only improve and get better. With consistent PF, PG and good coach, Rox future is very bright with Harden leading the way.
This thread is silly. Lebron James and Kevin Durant are once in a generation types of players for their positions. And while it certainly helps to have one of them on your team to win a championship, there are plenty of teams that won championships without a once in a generation player in the history of the NBA. Surround Harden with the right players, talent and system and he's got as good a chance as anyone. Not to mention he's far from a finished product at 23 years of age. Lebron didn't get his first chip until his 9th season. When he started he couldn't hit a 3, had no post game, and made plenty of mistakes. Perhaps you should jerk back that knee and give the kid some time to develop.
I think my feelings towards the maker of this thread can be best represented using a FancyCat and Paint.
Link? Point is, they traded the pick for Battier and they were never going to draft Rudy Gay even if they kept the pick. The selection of Rudy Gay was Memphis' orders/request after the deal was consummated. You should know this by now.
I am just shocked on how you continue to discredit what Harden and the Rockets have accomplished this season at such a young age and on his first year with the team and a brand new roster. Presti knew Harden was never worth the contract? Are you serious? He offered Harden $15m/year. And that was the most he could offer because OKC couldn't afford to go over the luxury tax being that their a small market team that's already tied up with 3 big contracts (Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka). He clearly traded Harden for financial reasons. Anyway, i'm not here to convince you to like Morey since it's pretty obvious that you are prejudiced against him. http://nba.si.com/2012/10/28/thunder-gm-sam-presti-breaks-down-his-trade-of-james-harden-to-rockets/
The majority of posters on this site are awful and no nothing about basketball. This is a stupid stupid stupid thread
Harden is a better creator for other people than either Durant or Westbrook, it's why he ran their offense when all 3 were on the court, Westbrook on the other hand creates for himself better than anyone I've seen for a long time, but can't really shoot very well. Durant is a bit odd in that he doesn't create space like Westbrook (Westbrook athletically is a freak of nature), because he can generally hit shots with a 3 inch gap as well as if he's miles wide open at almost any range inside 26 feet. No Harden will never be as good a shooter as Durant, no one except Nowitzki (when healthy) comes even close though.
No kidding, Durant has an unstoppable offensive game (top 3 at worst). He has Ibaka as a rim/paint protector (top 5 at worst) and Kevin Martin coming off the bench as a luxury. Who do we have outside of Harden and Parsons to depend on? OH YEAH did I forget? The Thunder also have one of the premier defenders in Thabo Sefolosha to shut down our top player. Did you guys really think that unless Harden/Parsons together with Patrick/Brooks went off the again that we had a chance if Durant demanded the ball? Durant can rise up and shoot over any defender on ANY given play. He also has a RIDICULOUS wing span coupled with a very good height AND debatable PG skills. You're also comparing someone who's been the franchise player for 3+ seasons to someone who's just been given starter minutes as well as being the main offensive option. Once Harden figures it out within a few seasons the Rockets are going to be a very dangerous team if Morey works his magic and gets us a few more 2 way players.
Maybe Lin has learned a thing or two from Fisher? (BTW, Fisher wasn't doing much his few seasons either)
Guys, Rocket Booster and JCDenton are trolls. They have a long history of posting nonsense just to piss people off. Don't feed the trolls.
http://offthedribble.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/05/03/hardens-season-in-a-word-great/ Now, put all of this together: 25 points per game, 60 percent true shooting, usage on more than 27 percent of team possessions, and an assist rate exceeding 25 percent. How rare is such a combination of statistics? What does the achievement mean for any player, especially one as young as Harden? Below, I’ve listed every season since 1986 that hits all four marks. Check out this New York Times article to see who are the elite few who had the same kind of achievement as Harden had this season.
