And he won't be a tier-1 level superstar.

P.S. Dwight Howard is not tier-1 level player as well. Adding Dwight in Rockets wouldn't solve the problem.

Now you can start to bite me. :p

How do you know he won't be a tier 1 superstar?

Do you know how Kevin Durant played in his first playoff series?

Oh dear, Harden isn't the second best player in the league. He's top 10, but wow, that just isn't good enough.

Lets just trade him and start all over again until we draft the next LeBron. Is that what you're proposing?

    >As if anyone implied Harden was anywhere near Durant's level.

Kevin Durant is smart enough to stay away from strep throat. Harden will have to learn this before taking the next step.

Well, if Durant's your measuring stick, there's really only two "tier-1" superstars in the NBA; maybe three if you want to include Chris Paul. I won't say it's not unfair to compare Harden to Durant since James is 23 and Durant is 24, but it's still a little unfair. Durant is a special player. Every 10 years or so there's 2-4 players like that that come along. Right now it's LeBron on his own planet and Durant.

I do think Harden can be a "good enough" #1 option on a top 5 team in the West with the right supporting cast. I think Parsons has the makings of an elite #3 option, but you guys definitely need a second legit scorer who can either create his own shot off the bounce, or can post-up and score with his back to the basket with consistency. And I do think Howard would take the Rockets up another notch. Maybe not top 3-5 in the West, but very, very close.

A tier-one superstar is also a very good defender. I highly doubt Harden will be anything more than average.

He has to learn to trust his teamates a lot more often.....took Dream 7ish years, let's hope Harden is a faster learner.

Harden is not a tier 1 star. He's 23? Give him some time. This is technically his first year as a starter and he far exceeded anyone's expectations and played his ass off in game 5 after a couple.of bad games. He deserves his max contract.

Harden relies way too much on the refs for his offense. So does durant, but durant can still shoot so even if the refs stop calling those ticky tack fouls he can raise up and shoot. Harden isn't good enough to do that.
