The funny thing is a couple of weeks ago I had convinced myself that just making the playoffs was a huge step forward for this team and I would be satisfied with this season no matter how they did in this series. But the rational side of my brain has convinced the crazy Rockets fan in my head that we should win this game. To the point that now I'm going to be upset if they don't.
Thats one big thing i noticed, If martin was hitting even half of his shots that would have played a big factor in the game. He had some pretty open 3s and good looks, this game tonight will come down to who makes their shots.
MARK MY WORDS. Game 6 will be the worst offiated game of the series. Patrick Beverly will be called for everything while Durant will be untouchable. Derek Fisher will get EVERY flop call. If this game is close enough, the refs will carry OKC to a win.
this was the prediction i started with from the very beginning. i'm more than confident we'll give them something to work hard for tonight. we have momentum, we have the fans and we have a hunger to prove we can make some noise. i'd love for this to go to game 7. go Rox!
It's not unexpected. It isn't strange that people would believe that an 8th seed would lose to a first seed. I would have a ton of respect for anyone that chose the Rockets, and they would go up a notch in my book, but I don't really expect a ton of people to believe that the 8th seed Rockets will win a third in a row verses the top seed. My own opinion is that the Rockets can do it. I believe. If they keep up their intensity anything is possible. But I'm a Rockets fan.
LOL! I feel the same way. But at the end of the day The Rockets have exceeded my expectations this season.
Most voters see a #1 seed playing a #8 seed and thats it. Even if we win tonight, everyone will be against us for game 7 as well.
Don't forget, at the beginning of the season, we were speculated to be in full tank mode. Playoffs was a pipe dream. Even after we got Harden, who honestly expected a team to make it into the playoffs in their first season together? People can call our O gimicky all they want, but it works!
I cannot STAND UT-alums who cheer for Durant in this series. Your loyalty hinges on a guy who gave you 10 months of his life and a second round loss on a loaded team? The lack of love the Rockets get in this city is unbearable.
He completed his degree and was on campus during the summer. He also shows up for games and reps UT. I have no problem with supporting Durant, as long as it's not over your home team. If they aren't Rockets fans in the first place then, eh.
