Exactly, and if Bev and AB needed a fire lit under their arses (they don't), this would certainly light one up. I don't understand the angst in some quarters. If Jeremy plays well, great for the Rockets. We can use a productive Jeremy Lin on both ends of the court. If he doesn't, McHale won't hesitate to sit him. As big a fan as I am of Rick Adelman, were he coaching tonight, I might be more worried. One thing McHale isn't shy about is pulling a player that isn't producing and isn't following the game plan. The only player he'll keep in beyond what some would like is James Harden, and he's the superstar of the team, a player that can shoot lights out after a bad half of play. I'm way more worried about Harden being sick tonight from strep throat (which I've had, and is no damn fun at all) and being unable to perform like he should because of it. The "Lin Situation" doesn't worry me in the least.
man Sometimes I wonder Parson's sexuality. I hope Lin establishes himself a great 6 man this game. Brooks and Beverley are really fearless and it also helps keep the ball movement going instead of Harden holding it for several seconds. Next season I hope Lin can still come off the bench. They will kill most teams.
Touche. Good come back. But, if someone was coming at you, you think they're going to ask what kind of bullet is in the pistola? They will just see the gun and think twice. Thats all we need OKC to do tonight...think twice. The moment they hesitate, we jump on them. Unfortunately our lack of exprierence cause us to loosen our grip about their necks at times. Still, YEA Lin! Welcome back.
I don't understand how people can see this as a losing situation? We're getting our starting PG back on the bench, to play against lower competition. He's not messing up the starting rotation. Check. He's not ruining chemistry because he encourages and never shows any sign of frustration. Check. He mans up to his mistakes and refuses to blame his injury. Check. If he plays badly. We sit him and we stick with what's been working. Check. If he plays well and contributes to the win, we have an extra weapon and a luxury that the OKC Thunders don't have. Chill the hell out people, we're playing GAME 6 in the Playoffs. How long has it been since anyone has been able to say that? Let's just be happy that we're here and embrace the moment instead of complaining about would-be situations because of personal bias against a certain player. Let's go Houston Rockets.
Don't worry about Parson. He'll have those eyes for a long time. Its all in the eyes. Question is, why are you looking at his eyes and having sexy thoughts?
For all the LOF crap, this elevation of Bev and Brooks (to the point where the season-long starter should not even dress for the game) is ridiculous.
I would LOVE to see this. Fisher played dirty against Lin the whole game last year, and Lin dropped 38 on him anyway. You need to punch the bully once to get him to back off. Look at Bev's tech the last game. I think they layed off him after that.
What if he contributes to Rox winning tonight... say, 6 pts, 3 assists, 1 steal in 10 minutes... that would be win-win!
Coming off the bench, with Lin possibly playing just 10-15 min. If we lose, he won't be the reason. If we win, he could be the reason.
1. Hey you POS...Im a Rockets fan before a fan of any person or player...so get your head out of your own a$$. 2. We referring to people that actually care about what the Rockets do...I dont care if the Rockets do trade Lin...wish him the best, but if it makes the Rockets better, who the F cares.. 3. Who are you to decide what people should and shouldnt get...oh thats right...one of those commie ba$tards that spends time everyone should have equal pay. 4. He was the best player on a dying Knicks team...They had to be resuscitated by Jeremy Freaking Lin to even be relevant...that is totally sad considering they had Melo(lottery pick), Amare(#2 pick), Chandler(DPOY)...so please get your facts straight. 5. The only reason you knew of Beverley was because Morey traded Tony Douglas, cut Scott Machado(like he was the 2nd coming of Steve Nash), and scouted for a 24 year old guy in Russia...You wouldnt even know who he was... 6. The likely hood of you actually having played any sort of professional sports is completely unlikely, and the high likelyhood that you never played any organized/school or college level sports makes me think that you have zero idea on how to evaluate talent. 7. The fact that you ignore that Beverley was completely overlooked after his collegiate career, had to go to Russia, and refine his skills for almost 2-3 years. And then you rip on a player that was undrafted that actually impressed enough to get on a DLeague team right after college and play...got cut by 2-3 organizations...was the last choice on a bench for the Knicks...was forced to play...and play did he for a period of 2-3 weeks...at an extremely high level...carrying his teams to victory at the Mecca of Basketball...against decent opponents... Before you think you know what you are talking about. Make sure you have your facts checked and refined...Jeremy Lin went through a lot to get where he is. His contract was a direct result of making his biggest stage and moment count(he took his life time opportunity and made it count)...Dont hate on Les Alexander for paying the guy...better yet stop looking at Jeremy as an Asian, but instead a basketball player...its sad that I have to defend the Asian community from idiots just like you...
My first instinct was that the last 2 games have been so great and Lin wasn't playing so why change? New perspective: We're playing a team that has, since game 1 been slow to adapt to any change that our team has thrown at them. Why let them get comfortable with the two little guards? Hahaha! Lin's gonna knock you out!
I don't understand With Delfino likely out, our rotation will be quite tight. Any team will welcome another healthy body to contribute, not to say your starting pg coming back and be used as bench only. Some haters get to the point of not wanting Lin even play again. This to a guy who had made a fool of Fisher in the past and had started 82 games for your team? He had a bad game 1 but a decent half game in game 2 before injury. Who else didn't play bad in game 1 blow-out? Why use game 1 stat to demonize your starting pg when he played really decently in latter part of this season? Beverley is playing well, but we don't see 10+ assists from him either and he had been ineffective in some games in regular season. Players have their ups and downs, especially young players. Lin should come back and play whatever role he can contribute, as it will be a long series even if Houston can magically eliminate OKC.
Jeremy Lin was cleared to play before he was in pain and was day-to-day since he hurt his chest that day in OKC Lin fans over the world had to watch Patrick Beverly And Aaron Brooks , they stole the show Rockets win make them say WHOA we got a chance for an upset Makes some money from the vegas odds bet Jeremy will play but he won't start if the Rockets win we don't give a fart cause it's about the Rockets and the city of Clutch what happened in new york last year doesn't mean much what happens now is what we want to know if Lin can step up on the biggest playoff stage show All Rockets fans want him to do really well to see if Lin is really Rafer Alston or if he could be Sam Cassell 99
