Trying to justify to myself why Rose won't play...I think it's a lot more than just his decision.

That's the different between a good coach and McHale. Jackson put Lee out for 1 minute to boost the morale. McHale knowing Lin is injuried and still putting him back in. Lin should be pull in Q1 and should not put it back in. Maybe Rockets would be up 3-2 now.

Lot of what-ifs man... imagine if mchale pulls-out asik the minute OKC goes hack-a-turk? it is easier to say "post-event" vs. while the action is on-going. mchale made the decision on what data/fact/feel that was available at the moment.

its really sad half his team is playing through injuries and he's healthier than them and just sitting on the bench lmao

easily for them to limit their turnovers when you have Harden handling the rock.

I was scanning the advanced player stats for this season and noticed something that really stood out. The eye test tells us that Beverley in the postseason has stepped up his game from Beverley in the regular season and I didn't quite know how besides general ballsiness. Shooting efficiency was about the same, his fantastic rebounding for a guard was identical, his defensive numbers were actually down.

During the regular season, we were getting a turnover rate of 18.8% from Lin while posting a 20.8% usage rate. In Beverley's backup minutes he had a turnover rate of 17.5% with 15.4% usage. When coupled with Harden's penchant for turnovers (as well as Asik's), we got the typical "young team that plays fast and turns the ball over a lot" type statlines, and generally we were okay with that.

In this series Beverley has increased his usage to 16.2%, but has slashed his turnover rate to just 8.1%. Brooks, when soaking up the backup minutes, is taking a huge role in the offense (28.4% usage) with a very respectable 10.8% turnover rate.

Westbrook's absence and Fisher's increased presence has a bit to do with this, but credit also has to go to Beverley and Brooks for taking care of the ball more than Beverley and Lin did in the regular season.

If you're the Thunder, you don't want to defend the Rockets in a slow-it-down, low FG% affair. Your real hope is that they turn the ball over even more than in the regular season, and you get easy points off it. The fact that hasn't happened is a huge key to Houston's success.

will we see brooks for bev and lin for harden subs? Brooks has been giving us great minutes and i'd hate for him to lose out on some high energy minutes he's been giving us.

I want lin to play harden free because he doesn't have the balls to keep the ball out of hardens hands, while i've notice beverly is clearly the primary ball handler when him and harden are on the court together.

No really. Harden is still the primary ball handler with Bev

For the playoff I would go with:
    Harden/Beverley
    Lin/Brooks.

Win game 6&7 then decide whether to stick with this lineup or mix it up later.

    This is absurd.

In regular season, Beverly is match-up with backup player and he doesn't worry about getting into foul trouble.

In game4, Harden had 10TOs without LIN.

Beverly won't get double-teamed whenever he handles the ball. Lin does.
