After the Rockets got off to a 7-1 start, they called touch fouls on every possession... on one end of the floor. The Thunder were in the bonus 3 minutes into the quarter, while Beverley and others were in foul trouble. Oh, and did I mention the Rockets couldn't buy a call on the other end, even when Ibaka slammed Harden? The officials, JC front and center, were instrumental in letting OKC build that 26-point lead Saturday. It did not go both ways. Sorry.
Maybe...I think Stern will have other games to worry about. Mainly the Clippers and the Knicks advancing Crawford will be calling the Clipper game tonight...right in time too.
why doesn't teams have the right to select referees, especially in playoff games. just like selecting jury for a court case. each team have an option of picking one. Then the third one is assigned or something. but I guess in this case OKC wil pick Joey
Yea that sucks cause that means when we win tonight he has the short flight from Memph to OKC for game 7, ugh. Shoot me now
My thing is who does Joey C actually help. Cause if you read enough message boards. NO TEAM wants him to ref their games.
I think Stern wants to make it interesting, he knows OKC has no chance at getting to the finals without westbrook. so he probably doesn't care who wins this series now. Like i said before, if they were trying to rig it for OKC at this point, they would have called a foul on asik on the last play of the last game
He helps whoever he feels like it/whoever Stern wants to win. No matter what, he always calls games one-sided.
This is good news. There is always a home bias to ref... the crowd gets to them. Joey Crawford is one of those few that isn't affected by this - I would want him when I'm on the road, not when playing at home.
