This is simple stat. which is always misleading. Morey knows better than this. It likes a baby challenging an adult.
This thread is approaching the "Jeremy Lin will rather have 29 points and 9 TOs" status. Anyway, I hope that Lin can play tomorrow. With Delfino down we need every healthy body we can get.
I'm not saying he is Stockton level now. I only repeated what some prominent guys like Magic and Payton said in the media. Lin has some basic traits that led them mention Stockton and Parker when talking about Lin's UPSIDE. In some sense his showed greater potential than Nash did in his 2nd year in NBA to become an elite PG. Aside from jump shooting and ball handling, which can be improved over the career, his court vision and play making ability is on the same level Nash and Stephen Curry showed with similar experience, IMO. As to playing style, he should try to emulate Stockton both on and off the ball, not trying to emulate Westbrook and other dynamic driving PGs, though he showed great driving ability and thus may be tempted to pursue it further. His upside sticking to this is very limited. Instead, his comparative advantage is in his court vision and smarts, both on O and D.
This. In the first game, pretty much everyone played horrible, yet this forum was filled with, " Lin cost us the game, Lin should not start, trade Lin" BS! Lin should sit and let what's currently working, work. Even if Harden play like crap, as long as our other players step up, the Rockets will take this series. Lin can start 2nd round playoff.
Given how streaky our pg performance is, i tend to think, the more the merrier when it comes to one of them having a good game.
fantastic video. thanks so much. I suggest Lin was in real pain from the player introductions... no high five and no chest bumps!
Wish we can say the same thing about our stockpile of PF's. The more we get, the sadder they look. None is not even good enough to start for our playoff run. Sad sad situation.......
Are PF's are all basically rookies, pretty raw ones at that. Each one has also show flashes of brilliance, just not consistency. TJones has the potential to be great, same with DMo and TRob. Smith is who he is, an big strong dummy who fouls too much.
I wish he would get healthy for round two. He's clearly not going to be in a good groove since he's coming off an injury. Would rather stick with AB & Bev and work Lin back into the fold in round 2.

Love Lin coming off the bench with Delfino and maybe AB. Surround Lin with shooters and let him drive and kick.
