All year the nuggets looked like contenders to win the west. I thought they had a legitimate shot at facing Miami in the finals. I know the Galo injury hurts them, but they still were favored over GS.

I think this just proves even more that teams without an allstar not only can't win a title, but can't even win a playoffs series! Do if you were the running nuggets how would you move forward into next season? Blow it up and try to get a star? Or right the ship and continue to try to do it collectively?

Iggy says he's going to test the market so he may be gone.

Unless one of them starts playing Superstar level like curry... they will be the above average team like kings/seattle/hornets of the 90s

They could easily trade Faried and Gallo and get Kevin Love.

    Mcgee
    Love
    Chandler
    Iggy
    Lawson

is a very good lineup still.

Just throwing it out there but maybe try another coach? Look George Karl is a great regular season coach but 8 of his Nuggets 10 seasons have resulted in a 1st round exit. 1 season they didn't make the playoffs. The other he made it to the Conf. Finals which was 5 years ago. He's had a "star" in Melo for most of his run but couldn't get out of the 1st round all but 1 time.

I realize that's not really a possibility..considering he was a COY candidate. Supposedly a lot of fans in Denver are starting to hate him though.

Get Bynum, pair him with Faried, get rid of Miller(get younger), and get JJ Reddick if Iggy leaves via FA...ie to a place like Dallas

Basically just do what the Rockets did, wait for a superstar caliber wants out and trade for him. They have some very attractive trade pieces on that roster, with a very good GM.

According to most clutchfans they don't need a superstar to be successful.

Well the Nuggest are the team for you!

Lacking a superstar wasn't why they lost to GS.

Let Iggy go. He's never been a star but he's been paid like one. Doubtful he's worth what some other team will offer. But to improve, they need to sign an impact player in his place.

With the right contract, Bynum is a worthwhile target for them.

I could see George Karl retiring. Wouldn't shock me.

Funny thing is that the Nuggs are close to capped out too. $59 million after Iggy leaves and they sign their draft picks. Bad way to build a team of role players

No, but have a superstar is what won it for GS.

2 guys playing injured. And one guy out completely. That is why they lost. Kind of makes a difference.

Highly doubt that they "blow it up" if by doing so you mean "trade everyone for draft picks and really young guys and tank for a few years to try and land a superstar through lotto luck." The team has too much talent-- including young talent-- for this.

My guess is that they keep most of their core, make some medium-sized deals and look out for the next "Dwight or Harden" to be available.
