Beverly, the great defender, was getting killed by Reggie Jackson yesterday ? Anyways, I am happy he is playing well. It forces Lin to improve and makes our point guard situation much better. But some of you guys are absolutely insufferable with your trolling.

Sorry. An announcer said it and I didn't check it He just finished his second year. One year away from a rookie and light years away from Westbrooks skills.

They didn't go zone in game 4 or 5. But he said the Rockets had an upswing when Beverly started. They went Zone in that game. He started with Lin and Harden.

i didnt read your whole text, just this part "Bev only attempts simple passes that don't do anything to facilitate the offense. He dribbles the ball up the court and passes the ball off the Harden or Chandler."

this is what lin does lmao

Except what Bev is doing is very sustainable.

His shot might cool down but everything else he does won't. Lin's emergence had a lot to do with him being able to dominate the ball and him getting hot with his jumper. Bev doesn't need the ball at all and 80% of what he's been bringing to the team has been things other than scoring.

His energy/defense/rebounding will always be there.

I never thought he would be as good as Westbrook. All i was saying was he is the best option to defend Westbrook on this team. I was right.

We'll see. Tape isn't just for offense. I highly doubt his energy would be the same after an 82 game season especially if he's not playing for his NBA career, has some security under his belt. He has fresh legs right now compared to our starters and nobody's really paid attention to him. He's the scary, high energy, intimidating, unknown who took out RW to our opponents.

He won't get to keep this advantage for long.

He honestly reminds me of Iman Shumpert on the Knicks. Maybe a better shooter, and slightly less of a shut down defender, but same type of high energy, ferocious player. However, Iman is at his best coming off the bench and in spurts. It's still too early to say if he's true PG material just yet and will really be able to maintain this long term as you believe.

In this series, Beverley has gone up against damn near every player on the OKC roster and had some success. That is unbelievable, but true.

Beveryly is very good player but he's playing "dirty" and not a good team player as a PG. Example last night on game 5, playing over 38 minutes and only 1 assist? It looks like he is there for personal gain.

Beverly will be a potential good back up player for any team. Currently he's not a potential starter player for any team. Yes he did some good for our team but that is expected of a back up IF he can't then the Rockets don't need him as a back up.

There are many great back up player better than him and they are still a back up for their team.

Overall I am satisfied with his performance as a back up.

Not sure if serious Bev haven't even had a chance to be a full time starter in this leauge I think his all around game is better than Lins and he's not turnover prone I'm glad he's starting in the playoffs Lin looked shaky in his short time in the playoffs

Beverley plays for personal gain?? Lol!!!

Why do people keep bringing up his assists? It's better than Lin clanking shots all the time.

I will never understand posters like yourself. The entire team played for each other against an exceptional opponent on the road and just because your boy couldn't be out there you have to crap on his backups performance. Sad, really.

They just want what's good for Lin. If that happens to coincide with the Rockets success, then they will also root for the Rockets. Otherwise you see your typical posts and threads:

    - Why McFail no give Lin minutes?
    - Why Harden can play hero ball but Lin can't?
    - Why Harden/Beverly/<insert any non Lin player save Parsons> play in 4th but Lin don't?

It is like Yao all over again, except Yao was a beast and Lin is above average at best currently. That said, I think Lin is still currently a better player than either Beverly or AB in guiding the offense generally. Defensively I think Bev tops Lin. AB we all know plays no D.
