Brooks did pretty good today. He is a shooter so I won't hold it against him for shooting. he did make those huge shots for us.
Yeah, you cannot give credit where is due for those who think we are better of with AB than Lin. Brooks had the third est plus minus of the game at plus 8. With only five rockets having a positive +/-.
He's a classic hater and he's being clearly exposed as one. You shouldn't expect anything less from this guy.
I'm not even going to respond to this. I'm laughing at you right now. You don't really hate brooks, you just have a shtick and you're doing it for attention. Hopefully Clutch rails you in on your over the top troll job this time.
TNT crew really bringing out the truth. Kenny, Charles, and Shaq straight up saying it doesn't surprise them that Brooks is having such a big impact in the game. I can't say I disagree with them but I didn't see him getting back into his comfort zone so quick. The best part is...he hasn't even gotten his 3 going yet. Dude is scary when he does.
Props to AB. He made some timely shots. He missed 2 back-to-back FTs, yes. But he made shots that are timely... stopped OKC's momentum. I don't blame him for the missed quick 3 he took, though. If it went in, that's another momentum stopper. He's got guts.
He missed some shots I would expect him to make, and he better start making them soon. But he can create his own shot, which is really important in the playoffs. The Thunder have no one else who can do that outside of Durant/Westbrook, and we're seeing what happens as a result.
Well said Chicken Brother. It is going to be an interesting off season. I'd really like to see Brooks brought back for next season, but the nature of his extension makes me think that will not happen. Brooks is playing with his old confidence and speed, if not quite his old results. Once he finds his range again he could be a huge player on this team, playing next to Harden, with the type of offense the Rockets play. He and Beverley playing together is looking pretty good too. Reminds me of the old days of him and Lowry playing together -- just a hard time for other teams to match up with that kind of speed in the backcourt.
I don't hate Brooks, I hated his minions who couldn't judge him objectively. I was glad when he got shipped off to the journeymen career he deserved. Which is why the g*ngbang about his sub 40% performance is kind of a joke - I mean Kwame has resurfaced. Glad he's at least hitting over 30% - would have expected far worse.
Man, I think we should take advantage when Fisher is guarding Brooks even more. There is no way Fisher can guard Brooks.....
I would still play Lin over Brooks because of defense, but how nice is it to have 3 point guards on the roster that can all play competent basketball?
He can but the problem as always is that he sucks at finishing and dishing. But at least he had the floater going a few times tonight. Also he created needed pressure on Fisher to work hard on defense.
We don't need JLin's defense with Westbrook out. Brooks is a mismatch nightmare. Noone can guard him!!
Great game from Brooks ;d. Keep in mind OKC played Derek Fisher for 29 minutes lol. Fisher finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, 0 assists, 2 turnovers, 5 fouls Brooks isn't hitting the 3 right now but he is driving and hitting tough midrange shots, and finding the open man. I see him as basically insurance for Lin, as they have some similar strengths.
He also created a bucket thru a dribble drive and dish. I'm totally fine with trading Lin for an upgrade at another position and going into next season with Bev & Brooks sharing the point.
