Really? Bizarre. CSN2 is usually Channel 118 on Phonoscope, and it's been showing some UFC crap since 6. Hmm.

Very classy, I suppose you get csn

You do an awesome job of collecting info on the minors and I love reading your stuff on that

But I don't really care for snide remarks from someone who wasn't born when I was sitting by my am radio listening to gene elston paint the picture of every game. This will probably piss you off, sorry about that, enjoy the game kid

Yea it's not available at the sports bar either. It's a shame that some "fans" now have the same attitude as crane himself. This really sucks, the franchise I've supported my whole life might be exploding right before my eyes, and I'm not talking about wins and losses they needed to do what is being done there

Carlos Corporan with the game of his life.

So, you're saying I'm a shill? I hardly ever watch them on the network though...

    Oh you're too kind.

I'm sorry for being such a smartass.... sir.

Cool. Oh well, can't really control when I exit the womb.

From what I've heard, he is legitimately one of the greats in the field of broadcasting.

    Couple of thoughts.

Castro after another slow start is starting to get to where we expected him, OPS up to .718. He started the season 0-14, since then he has a gaudy .329/.373./.486 line.

He had a slow start last year too, but had a .774 OPS the rest of the way. Around the .760 mark is about where i expect him, and if he can maintain that, or even be close, we can certainly cross catcher of the to-do list.

Secondly, Altuve. Being a bit of a numbers guy, I haven't been nearly as high on him as the general fanbase, but the more I think about it I'm starting to be more optimistic. He finished last season with a .740 OPS, and an Offensive WAR of 3.2.

His defense is what killed his player value, -18. But looking at 2011, and so far in 2013 he has been a really solid defensive player. Defensive stats have been know to have occasional statistical aberrations, maybe that was last season.

He's still only 22, if he can equal or improve last years offensive output and become a neutral defensive player, he too becomes a really solid ballplayer. He'll have to do it almost entirely on BA, because he isn't gonna walk or have much pop, but i'm beginning to think he can do it.

Castro has struggled against lefties this season. His BB:K rate has taken a huge nose dive. If that normalizes with the rest of his career, he'll be very solid.

Altuve's defense has definitely been much better this season.

He may be terrible, but he's also leading the team in Runs, RBIs, HRs, and is 2nd in walks. He's also 2nd in OPS amongst our full time players.

Cutting him isn't going to help anything.

I've generally liked what Luhnow's done in Houston, but some of our talent evaluations at the Major League level have been really suspect.

With the team in need of a DH, signing Carlos Pena instead of Travis Hafner really hurt.
