Lin got so much **** last year for not playing in the playoffs and people are still talking **** today about his toughness. I'm worried all that's getting in his head. I really hope he doesn't try to push it if it's that bad, let the haters hate and just trust Bev and AB to do their jobs.

Source? This is ridiculous. But really does it even matter what any of us think. The players dont care what the fans think. Lin will do his best to play and the coach has to decide if he should. I like many other fans of the guy also like the rockets but cant stand the older fans condescending comments. I root for the team not its fans so whatever. I doubt there is a single player on the rockets who care what we think.

Dude its up to the coaches to make the call and it is up to Lin to try to do everything he can to play. If he cant its all good but he can and will do his best. Dont get sucked up into the nonsense theories that are tossed around these boards.

If he's able to contribute in a positive manner, even for brief moments, he should be ready to be put in the game. Otherwise, there's no point playing if he's going to further hurt the team and himself.

lol whats gonna happen is he wont play tonight and the Rockets win. He will be ready to go Friday at home and play. Unfortunately the Rockets will lose and then the whole forum will blow up and talk about how terrible he is, and what a bad luck charm he is and, that he shouldnt have come back.

    Book it!

No doubt, if he plays or not, if Rox win or not, Lin will get crap thrown at him for something or other. It is what it is.

My take on it is this; if he is healthy enough to contribute in a positive manner for the Rockets, then by all means, play him. Anyone knows that when healthy, he is a better contributor than AB at least and currently, I think he is a better player than Beverly is until Beverly develops a better outside shot and is able to command more attention from the D. That said, if he is not healthy enough to contribute positively, then I sure as hell don't want him sniffing a microsecond of playing time.

My personal take on Lin is that I don't give a rat's ass about Lin as an individual player if it is not associated with the Rockets. If he is in a Rockets uniform, I want him to improve as long as it is not at the expense of Harden or Parsons improvement (I believe they are an integral part of the Rockets long term future, but I don't feel the same way about Lin), because that is improvement for the Rockets as a team. Once he is no longer associated with the Rockets however, I don't give two ****s about Lin.

Why should I? I am a Rockets fan and as long as Lin is part of that, I will hope for the best for him as long as it is not at the expense of the Rockets future and goals. Outside of them, Lin is just another player in my eyes. I don't have any special feelings or attachment for him outside the fact that he wears Rockets red. It is a perfectly valid point. I care about my Rockets. I don't give a crap about Lin.

Speaks the truth. Why being on a site longer than others make their opinions more valuable automatically? And that's some of those posters would assume, which is silly.

Because no one gives a crap of what you think of Lin as a person. You have 0 respect for any player. You treating them as an object. I'm sure no houston player wants you as a fan...maybe i shoud've kept that to myself.

What a great assumption! I'm just kidding... I actually think that was a r****ded post and you are a dumbass for saying it. I have players that I became fans of and really like as well; Hakeem, Drexler, Horry, Malone (Moses), Magic, Bird, MJ, Wade, Durant, Lowry, Ginobli, Parsons, Nash, Kidd, and a few more. Some of them were or are Rockets and others are not. The difference from me and all these garbage Lin fans is that I don't put them above the Rockets as a team. What is the goal of Rockets? Win a championship right? With that in mind, I view Rockets PLAYERS with their ability to contribute towards that end, ultimate goal, even if it involves trading a player I like and respect. That is the difference and if you are too dumb to see that, hey that's your problem and not mine.

    What's wrong with that definition?

Alternative is they don't win because a handful of players need to get some spin
