The reason that Harden has poor shot selection @ the end of the game is that Clutch is a racist. This time period is definitely annoying but IIRC it was worse with Yao.
History + responses in this thread = never-ending xOF trash around here. More than anything I find it disappointing.
Great thread and I agree with the OP's message wholeheartedly. I don't understand why so much negative here on CF, and why so much hate on certain players considering the youngest team of NBA has just made playoff while most experts have written them off before the season. Just because a young & inexperienced player has a bad game or made some mistake in a game or a stretch of games (perhaps due to injuiries or tiredness), that is understandable for such a young team. Players need time to develop and mature, and the team needs time to perfect the chemistry. True Rocket fans should be clapping for what the team has achieved so far this season as they outperformed expectation.
I'm glad some people here see it too. I've been avoiding this site more and more because of morons with their knee-jerk threads and their really rude comments. It's irritating trying to post something thoughtful that just get's lost in the nonesense.
Endorsed. Pretty obvious to me that disparaging Asians is tolerated on this site. Maybe a lot of crap has been deleted by the mods that we don't see, but still a lot is left over. The govt is doing the same, so not surprised to see it on a website.
Agreed. Clutch has worked too hard to have this site be reduced to minor squabbles amongst people who could care less. This is a great and reputable site. Keep it classy, never trashy
Sorry dude, just because you said something that's opposite of the "herd" doesn't mean it's above it, it could also be below. You haven't even told us how the roster would change after that trade.
Hello, I'm a fan of basketball. I've watch Lin play since his college days at Harvard. Joined this forum because it's very active and full of individuals who enjoyed talking about basketball and particularly the Houston Rockets. I find it hard to have a objective discussion with anyone before someone gets critical and then the name calling starts.
Sure, but let's face it, the thread you guys just locked is well deserved to be locked IMO? Well, that is unless people would ignore it. It has to work both ways of course, cannot be biased. I surely have never started stupid threads, just from my experience from other boards, there are always good mods and bad mods and tyrannical and biased mods are worst but just a little bit of order is good. Sure, not everyone that criticizes Lin is racist, but are you denying that there is any hate at all? Are you saying that this is completely invalid?
It took a lot of work to moderate a forum with these many threads. You need at least two tiers of moderators to enforce strict rules in a forum: who lock or ban players and who oversee the first group of moderators. Another thing is that you need to divide the forum based on purpose and interest. There is a reason why many forums have a board for people to talk crap and then enforce rules elsewhere. With this, what you can do is to elect the moderators for each sub-forum and let Clutch and other current moderators oversee the elected moderators. You need to separate the people who run the forum from those who moderate. Just my two cents. I have acted as moderators for three boards in different forums and learned this the hard way.
Now imagine this post of yours is deleted and you are banned because for some reason some moderator find it inappropriate or irrelevent...there is a reason so many people stays stupid uninformed and limited....
I have seen riots in forums where people delete their posts to protest or basically flood the board with random letters. Establishing clearly stated rules, electing moderators and enforcing them are the growing pains that a forum needs to go through.
Why do you bring up Harden?. Why do people have to be like that. Oh Lin is struggling but what about Harden oor vice versa?. Whats the point of that?.
