    Been on the light rail 5 times, only once paid for a ticket. (The rest were free due to Texans games/events.) Always wondered why there was no one checking the ticket. Anyone can just hop and off pretty much.

    Were they letting people on without paying fares? I rode the Metro through college, I can't see how that would happen on the bus. Not that I'm a grouch or overly principled, either, but I really can't imagine how adults could do something like that.

    i ride the rail everyday and they've been checking people for some time now. Anyways, I've always paid so i'm good either way.
