Haha I just lost the little.. oh wait I never had any respect for that snaggle toothed 4th grade english "analyst". Yes you decide who god thinks is christian and not, and clearly god has said that if you don't follow one of my rules than you are not christian, I just know thats in the bible somewhere, not to mention the bible is a perversion of Jesus's life to begin with but thats another topic.. it takes a pretty low IQ and a coward to call out a guy who says he likes men and say he's not a christian while never uttering a word about the innumerable "sins" being committed by nba players. You think CB would ever make a statement about Kobe saying well he had ongoing sexual relations while married in the face of god so he isn't a christian.. its funny when people decide to speak up and stay quiet

Sounds like something a gay or lesbian person could say as well.

Respect for what exactly? Running his mouth on an issue he knows nothing about? I never understood why people insist on projecting their views (you can read that as ignorance) onto others. Live and let live.

I agree and it is not about God or Christian religion for me personally. He voiced his opinion and people should respect that.

Broussard's "opinion" consists of disapproving of another person's choice / opinion / identity. Why should I respect that?

The difference is the reconciliation and adjustment to fit the description of what/who a Christian needs to be. My sins, mostly pride and anger, I deal with and no longer let run in my life. I recognize them as qualities that the bible is strictly against and I've worked on them.

same here... whether you agree with how he feels or not thats pretty cool he did that. Specially working for a Disney company...he will probably get fired soon now.

I dont know what that has to do with collins being gay...like if he also said he was a christian...but if that was the case and why he said it then...he is absolutely right. Its pretty moronic to try and say you are a gay christian. That's like trying to say you are chrstian hindu. its an impossibility.

But I dont even know why this is news...gays are in every part of life...its not ground breaking anymore this isnt the 60s. Geez, who cares. Its their lifestyle choice and shouldnt concern you one way or another.

If any christian thinks that if someone walked up to Jesus and said I like men, Jesus would say "you're not a christian".. you are simply r****ded, Also I am muslim and at worst it is a sin (the people of Lot were destroyed for many other reasons like people leaving their wives), at best only anal sex is a sin (high rate of transmission for STDs like AIDS).

I believe that other people should worry about their own lives/sins they are or have been making.

I'm pretty sure it's a free country and if another person chooses or decides something that stands against your beliefs why worry about it. He's not killing you or hurting you by doing it.

So basically who gives a f**k?

Or your an idiot for either

    A. rejecting Christianity when it is so easily provable if you want to see it. See former athiest C.S Lewis and the book Mere Christianity. Or Josh McDowell and the Evidences for Christianity.

Rejecting the historical character of Jesus is about as intelligent as rejecting that Aristotle or Socrates were real....

    Or

    B. you believe gays can be Christians...which means you speak from pure ignorance and never read the Bible. So why even speak?

Sorry just had to defend this guy from attacks of the willfully ignorant. Yay for religious arguments on a basketball forum!!!

this has nothing to do with it....

It lists homosexuality as a sin.... That scripture is in reference to casting judgement on somone for committing sin as in making a mistake...we all make mistakes.... But Broussard very delicately put it as "living in open rebellion to God"

this is not the same...It is saying your life style choice will sin you to hell according to the Bible...the same as if someone were a murder or a rapist. Even though you can receive forgiveness for even horrible crimes as murder and rape...you have to repent and change in order to achieve this... Living as a homosexual according to scripture means you are living in sin and there for have removed yourself from the benefits of salvation by Grace through your open rebellion.

I hate misrepresenting scripture more then atheists just throwing out ignorant insults. If you dont know what your talking about dont speak you do more harm then good.

Here's the difference, the NFL and NBA is littered with openly Christian players who also do from time to time wear their religion on their sleeves, what makes more Tebow more special than those other Christian NBA and NFL players? Answer me, that.

I didn't think much about it yesterday, when everyone on the news, radio, TV, and internet were going insane over an openly gay player. Then, I realized how uncommon that is and could quite possibly be suicide in the locker room, fan base, or team progress.

Being Christian hasn't, doesn't, and probably will never adverse effect anything, while having a male athlete who may be gay/bisexual could very well turn away some fans and advertisers.

I agree, religious arguments on any forum probably don't get you anywhere, oh well! Rockets actually played defense for 48 mins, and they saw that's the only way you win in the playoffs, yay! Playoff experience = a c q u i r e d !

once again blatant ignorance...The Bible tells us who are Christians....just modern day Christianity isnt Christianity at all and doesnt follow the Bible. I doubt many or even any of you talking about Christianity as if you have a clue, have ever even read The bible... Broussard was spot on in articulating it exactly how the scriptures principles teach. Freaking read ...educate yourself before you speak. Ever hear: "better to shut up and let people think you are a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt"?:rolleyes:
