It would be an ideal trade for both of us. After what we have seen in the playoffs where in game 3, Harden missed 2 clutch free throws and caused 2 key turnovers when we were leading with 43 seconds left which was the key for OKC to beat us. And of course those 3 straight ISO plays that didn't amount to anything.

But anyways, getting Cousins and 2pat back would make us contenders. We get a 16.3 ppg guy and a 9.8 rb who can only get better. Imagine if he could be a 18 ppg and 10 rb type of player. It's like buying a very underpriced stock where no one sees it and we could probably get a fair contract for both sides.

2pat is all money. The guy can shoot and he's getting paid like 3 million, very underpriced and his shooting stroke is money. He could rebound if he wanted to, just like that one game where he got 20 something points and 13 boards.

So, to recap, we get rid of Harden, a 25 ppg guy for a 16.4 ppg and 10 rbg player with upside and 2pat, a guaranteed shooter. We unload an 80 million dollar contract. have 3 really good pgs, Lin, PB, AB0, all of them are unselfish non iso players. We got 2pat and Demarcus Cousins playing the forwards and Asik as center. Cousins and Asik would be a rebounding duo, I'm not even sure if the opposing teams would get many second chance opportunities, and Parsons would be our scoring forward while Lin, PB and AB0 would be our guards.

Then we got Delfino, 2pat and Garcia as our forwards, all 3 can shoot. No more ISO balls! Yea!

I mean, think about it guys. We were like what? 2 games away from 8th seed last year? We almost lost the 8th seed this year after that 7 game losing streak? We basically won 2 games out of the 6 of those last games. One was against Sacramento and the other was a Phoenix goal tending. What were we doing? ISO Harden! We weren't that much more of an improved team this year, if anything, we could have easily been in the same boat as last year.

This has to be a troll post.

No one can possibly think of this and be serious.

I highlighted you constantly referring to upside/getting better.
    Let me break something down.

    - Harden is 23
    - He hasn't even finished his first season with a new team as their number 1 option
    - He hasn't even attended a training camp with his teammates
    - Coaching staff haven't had a training camp to create and implement offensive sets to get rid of the iso

In the words of glacier921... Think about it guys

LOL...you guys are still not addressing the issue. Like, an 80 million dollar contract? Like how poorly we have done in the last 10 games? Like how Harden's ppg is mostly from free throws that the refs gives freebies?

    Non-Rockets fans are the worst.

Before we acquired Harden, people often complained about not having a true finisher. Sure, Lowry was OK and Dragic too. But we wanted a guy who, at the end of the game, we could put the ball in his hands and ask him to score. We now have that and when it happens and works we hear crickets; but when it happens and doesn't work out we hear about how Harden chokes, how he can't be a #1 option, how he should have passed the ball to someone else *cough*Lin*cough*, and now, the most ridiculous of all, that we should trade him for Boogie Cousins! My god. My... god.

No. Get a coach who implements more set plays.

It's more than just trading for Cousins. You got a 16 ppg and 10 rbg guy, 2 pat, a guaranteed shooter PLUS unloading an 80 million dollar contract. BTW, we didn't improve that much this year. We almost lost the 8th spot, like we did last year.

Except hes worth an 80 million dollar contract, and what does it matter if his PPG is made of free throws when he gets them consistently? Congratulations on making one of the worst threads I have ever seen on any forum.

You mean like all the outrageous contracts on the NJ Nets who are trying to stay alive against the Bulls?

We wouldn't even be in the playoffs if it wasn't for how much Harden has helped the team. He has played poorly, but you have to remember this is his first time starting for a team. Getting free throws is a talent he has attacking the basket and drawing fouls. All great players will get their free throws.

Seriously it's almost like you want to become the Sacramento Kings because that's what your idea is suggesting.

Harden is easily better than any player on the Nets at the age of 23. You realize just because a contract is big doesn't make it a bad one, don't you? Literally every single team in the league would give Harden a max contract at this point.
