You know what. You guys are too much. WHY is it even a question?? He's part of the season we got to the playoffs. He has one bad game. Gets injured and he should be the 3rd guard now?? GTFO. Lin should start. He's not the reason we lost the first games and we won the last game. That's ridiculous. Westbrook got injured!! You guys are all straight trippin. Not a peep when he was doing well shooting 40% from 3 pretty much the entire last 3 months and one game won and he's now a 3rd string bench player, smh I don't know how you guys are gonna succeed out there in life with this kind of logic and bias in thinking. Having said that Bevs been awesome. But Lins done more for us all season and were I the coach, I would start Bev, Lin, and Harden. You guys should just admit that you don't like Lin and had he shot 50% from 3, you still would start anyone over Lin. Or AB, lol
Don't you know that sample size doesn't matter? Unless you're Lin, in which case a 25-game sample was a fluke, and now, an 82-game sample as a solid-if-predictably-inconsistent starter is completely thrown out the window as soon as his backup has one or two excellent games. The double standard is appalling.
Apparently so, according to some people here. Like that combined 75-point effort that they had against OKC in their last meeting in the regular season? Pff, just a one game fluke, unlike Beverley's excellent one-game sample, which is totally not a fluke because, uh, just because.
What about LeBron after his Miami contract is up? He and Harden together would be awesome, along with Howard and Paul.
I remember not so long ago that many basketball commentators were calling the Lin and Harden backcourt one to be feared and one of the most dynamic backcourts in the league. What happened? I thought Lin had an excellent final two months of the season.
Great point. Lin did have an excellent final 2 months. He averaged something like 17 and 7 in April. He also played great when Harden was out for a short while, proving that his limitations were less to do with his abilities as it had to do with having to defer to Harden all the time. Sports writers and fans are inherently drama queens, that's what happened. Their soap opera just took a plot twist and everybody's in full gossip mode.
While Lin certainly gets more criticism than he deserves at times, calling people out on double standards when you're going to do exactly the same thing yourself is a bit rich.
Please stop stalking me. If you don't agree with me fine, then don't agree. But please get off my a** ok. Go find a girlfriend.
Lin sorta has a reputation for being most effective when he runs the show though. Kinda how the whole Linsanity business came about seeing as there was JARED FREAKING JEFFRIES. Id bring Lin off the bench, for this one, cant fall behind if he's rusty, could play more his game.
Lin needs to improve. He deserves no excuses for his performance in the playoffs he has completely been a no show which was expected IMO. Going against certain teams like OKC and Miami in playoff pressure right now is too much for him.
I have never seen this. What is obvious is that Harden gets the ball as much as possable. Maybe Mchale and Morey have listened to you and other who don't think much of Lin skills, so they tell him to lay low on the court. After all they might believe what you and others are saying on the Clutch Fans Threads. That he can't shoot, has a poor handle, can't play defense and can't go to his left. In addition, he's not mentally tough enough to play NBA ball. I was quite impressed with Lin, but after reading the relentless criticism of him I have changed my mind. BTW, The coach determines who gets the ball most, at least that's the way it was when I played ball. If a coach sees a player shirk his role and responsibility the locker room would have that players blood on the walls the very same day.
I think that Beverley had a good game but people are seeing things through rose colored glasses. Yes, he drew the key charge at the end of the game but before he did that, he let Kevin Martin abuse him in the first half and Reggie Jackson get tons of uncontested looks in the second half. In the last minute or two of the game, Jackson had 3 wide open looks. He hit the first but barely missed the other two. Either would've probably cost us the game. I love Beverley's motor and I love how he fights for boards in the paint, but if he gives up a ton of points by not guarding his man, he is hurting us just as much as helping us.
Blood on the walls is a figure of speech and does not imply that the player would be harmed by the coach
