Statistically, your chart also says that the Rockets are also better with Harden off the floor (-1.1). Your chart has some merit and is useful to some extent, but you need to factor the rotation and who is in the floor with each given player. I clearly remember another article showing that Patterson (before he started playing well) had a huge drag on Lin's +/- numbers.

Everyone can see that Jlin doesn't excel when the ball is not in his hands. Do you think the Knicks would be on the verge of sweeping the C's if Jlin instead of Felton was their PG

Can we please accept that fact that Jlin would murder 2nd string PG's and give us more of an advantage coming of the bench. He's too much of a liability on D playing with the worst AAU defender in history (Harden). As a result, who are you going to have coming off the bench Jlin or Harden. Stop it, if you said Harden.

Move him to the bench and watch his confidence and game increase because there is little pressure on him to deliver.

There are 2 types of pressure. One is felt the other is applied. Jlin is feeling the pressure!! And only applies the pressure maybe 8 to 10 times a year.

Great point, if Jlin confidence is in the tank he doesn't hussle or try to play
    D. He has a high estrogen level.

Sure, but Lin's disparity is larger than Harden. On top of that, look at Harden's massive production compared to his opposition and compare that to Lin (opponent PGs more productive than Lin while he's on the court). That's why the overall "Simple Rating" has Harden on top while Lin is middle of the pack on our roster.

More importantly, Beverley's production and on/off court numbers are superior to Lin's.

Citing +/- stats are so misleading. Bev plays against mostly bench units whereas Lin plays almost exclusively against starters. This is also why Parsons +/- is lower than Bev's too. You need to look at the context.

What about the opponents Per, where Lin is outperformed by his competition?

Now I think about it Green is a bit like Jeremy. Relied on his athleticism for his points. Terrible basketball IQ and habits. Inconsistent shooting, can't do anything without the ball in his hands. Oh and subpar defense.

I wonder if Jeremy Lin had legendary work ethics too

lol you guys want to go back 10 years to dig up dirt on me as if it’s some kind of gotcha. Jeremy was the starter for 82 games this year FYI as we made it back into the playoffs. And where is this huge spat I had with Clutch, he didn’t even post in here. Why don’t you go dig up the other thread where I liked Lin coming off the bench the next year.
