No it does make sense. If no team signs him he can claim that the NBA in general is discriminating against him even though he really can't play anymore.
We're not disagreeing on our favorite flavor of ice cream. You're asking for tolerance of intolerance.
So you're saying some team out there will decide to sign a guy they don't need, fearing he doesn't get signed by anyone and as a result making the league vulnerable to a discrimination lawsuit which any thinking person can see has no merit? Unlikely.
we're talking about homosexuals as consenting adults. stop trying to draw parallels first you try animals and now children. stop
One is illegal and one isn't. One is with children that can not think for themselves yet, the other are 2 adults who has a choice in what they want to do
You are right. Broussard should totally stfu and not say anything because espousing an opinion shared by at least half the population is totally ignorant and obviously a fringe opinion.
I don't want this to D&D, although that's where it'll probably end up, but this is the stupidest statement ever. Two consenting adults deciding to get married and start a life is not equal to a child and an adult's decision to do the same. Children are easily influenced and cannot make the same decisions adults can. With that being said, I'm proud of Jason Collins for what he's done. Much props to him, and like Doc Rivers said, hopefully this is a turning point not just in the NBA, but in the world of sports. Nothing but good can come from this.
He is such a great Christian man that he got extorted by a w****. Another hypocrite looney who has no character but pretends he does.
Right, but do you think Brussard was being hateful or discriminating? I don't. In my experience, I've sen very few people that use religion as their argument be "hateful or discriminatory", but as soon as they/we share our opinion we get labeled as ignorant and entolerant, we're called bigots. People are destroying Brussard right now for simply disagreeing with them.
Nah, just saying that there will be a certain degree of pressure from the NBA to get a team to sign this guy, because they don't want to create the perception that they're discriminatory. It doesn't necessarily have to go to a lawsuit, but it hurts the image of the NBA nonetheless - especially after such a huge announcement and pre-celebration. Many eyes will be on Collins as a free agent.
Even Jesus was a gay. Long hair, single for his life, followed by 12 MEN. Hello?!? The signs were there. That surely seems like a gay guy to me!
No difference between animal and child and consenting adult, according to you. Just get out of this thread, kiddo.
